Implo and I got to discussing on site chat about interpretations of backups for normal games.
Basically, if you have Backup Doctor and an even-night doctor dies, what happens? What if you are a Backup Even-Night Doctor and a (modifier-less) Doctor dies? Etc.
This is very terse and I could go into more detail, but that will come later; for now, think about these and discuss your opinion on the matter.

Meanwhile, if you have an Even-Night Backup Doctor, do they only become a Doctor if a Doctor dies on an even night?
One of the main judgement calls we have to make in the NRG is figuring out what a combination of Normal modifiers does if you apply it to a role that isn't obviously compatible with those modifiers.scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- zMuffinMan
