I buddy as town all the time. I just call it townblocking.There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.

I've buddied as Town before, usually when a player's getting PLed for little nitpicky things that are part of that player's normal meta. Or whenever Ad Hominem comes into play, because Ad Hominem is bullshit.Video games can be educational. The Oregon Trail taught me that Manifest Destiny is fatal.

Buddying, to me, is the name of a scum tactic where you are especially friendly to a strong town player in order to manipulate them. The question imo, is not whether the buddying is scummy, but whether they are buddying at all.
Town can, of course, do things that look like buddying. Generally when they have strong townreads they work well with.
