Patrick and Regfan are pretty high up there in terms of correctly lynching and winning games, if I'm recalling correctly.

Faraday and singersigner are some great examples of "newer" scummers who have outstanding reads and game sense.

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that many listed in the OP are quite overrated (I won't name any names, though).

As for true Greatest Of All Time, it'd be patently impossible to measure with any kind of objectivity, with the site set up the way it is. If there had ever been some form of non-manual statistic-tracking for Win/Loss Ratio, Ally/Enemy Lynch Ratio, Survival Ratio, Optimal Power Role Usage Ratio, and Daytime Influence, which took into account the player's alignment, game size, and phase length, then we'd be much closer to pinpointing those who have had the biggest Net Positive Impact for their team across the years, which I would argue is the best metric for determining skill, as it is an amalgamation of other, lesser skills, forged into an overall efficiency rating for the player.

In fact, I would be willing to help develop a metric like this, if anyone else is interested, drop me a PM.

I find it interesting that besides myself and Nachomamma and LLD none of the players mentioned in this thread are anything that would approach modern players.

I feel like some of the people from the playing from 2013 onward crowd should get together and discuss who they think are the best of the people who still play / made their name recently.

(Incidentally, Nacho and LLD are not players I'd consider 'modern'. I consider them to be some of the last of the oldguard.)

Nacho's a contemporary to you, Zito. (And technically to me, though I never lump myself in with people with a pre-2010 joindate.)

Sure. But of the people who play in the era I would consider 'my' era- and I'm fully aware that Nacho and LLD predate me by a significant margin- none besides me were mentioned.

And my mention was not one that was readily agreed on by others.

And that's with the caveat that I consider myself a year and a half past my peak. I find it hard to believe that no one played excellently enough in 2016 or so far in 2017 to be worth adding here.

Deductive was a dominant player with a great intellectual analytical play-style. He played by creative application of logic and reads. His ability to use logic to read the situation and argue said reads in a compelling manner is completely unassailable. As scum he uses the authority he develops with strong town play to manipulate the town into sheeping him, or assume his reasons are legitimate. He makes people actually penetrable to emotions and absolutely deceits the whole town by creating false dichotomies. As town his reads are nearly always spot-on and his ability to town-tell is flawless. Would definitely put him in at least top 5 of all time mafia players.

Interesting. Who would you consider is my contemporary that you can think of? Also would be interesting to have a game of contemporaries.

I'm surprised no one has said zMuffinMan.
I think he was the best player who joined in 2011.

Also, Hoopla. I am pretty sure she lynched me as scum in Mykonian's bastard cult game and all I kept thinking "what just happened".
She also broke the Hard Boiled setup from what I remember.
