I think to answer that I'd have to be explained why using small text is banned. If it's because people might miss it and not get the chance to copy+paste it into a plaintext editor to read it, then I don't see the issue in using wingdings since anyone can pull up a translator because it's obvious.
I can see why people might be against using it though. I'd have no issue with it if I ever moderated a game, personally.
Isn't the cryptography rule more for like when people actually use programs to encrypt text/files and have to give out keys to decrypt them or something? Feeling kind of dumb right now because I don't think this is on the same league.
(also i was going to answer in wingdings but the translator is being annoying?? what gives)i no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

I just duplicated your process. It doesn't alter the text on my end. Try a different browser and compare? (I'm using Chrome)

Making/Forcing other users/moderators to go through hoops such as translating posts should not be a practice that is encouraged unless the mechanics of the game (like in the No Ingles game) dictate otherwise.
Foreign languages, invisible text, unreadable fonts (like wingdings), etc. should not be allowed in mafia games as it impairs the quality of the game without offering any significant benefits.
I really don't see why this is even a question to ask (and asking your question in Wingdings simply highlights my point -- I had assumed it was just a random string of characters that constituted spam.)- House

Thats not useful in a mafia game --> Its either spam, invisible text, or cryptography. Now, tell me why any of those three games should be encouraged in a mafia game?- House

It's not invisible text. You can see it just as well as anyone else.In post 15, Ircher wrote:Thats not useful in a mafia game --> Its either spam, invisible text, or cryptography. Now, tell me why any of those three games should be encouraged in a mafia game?
It's not crypto... there's no key, it's simply a different font.
Explain how it breaks the rules.- Ircher

It breaks the spirit of Invisible Text which requires the user to go through hoops to understand what a post means rather than being able to tell at a glance. In fact, your example is worse than invisible text as you have to use an off-site source to read the text. Not cool.- House

I have no interest in typing complete posts in windings. That'd just be absurd. In post 17, Ircher wrote:It breaks the spirit of Invisible Text which requires the user to go through hoops to understand what a post means rather than being able to tell at a glance. Why would you post anything in windings though, everyone can do it, so what is the end benefit to you?Holder of the Longest Continuous Weekly Mafiascum Post Record. 1 July 2012 - 16 Feb 2023
