DEFCON Mafia 4.0

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Wed Nov 02, 2016 5:36 pm

Post by Andrius »

I know I'm no AGM, but this site needs less TIGERS and more NUKES, so I'm considering running DEFCON 4.0.

Would people be interested in playing another round of DEFCON?
Would there be enough people not interested to Review such a game? (These people
might
be harder to find.)
Is it too close to ELECTION SEASON to run?
Do people still enjoy nukes?

Your opinions are appreciated.

What is DEFCON?

nukes are bad in real life but fun in games
There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.

You must not imagine that for beings like you and us there can be laughter. The low men laugh, and we envy them. But for us, the higher ones, there is no laughter, only an unending vigil, purely serious, stretching on into the night.

Yes, Defcon 4.0 would be awesome.
"I am a leaf on the wind ... watch how I soar!"

Pretty much Geriatric game restricted at this point ... unless there are players I REALLY want to play with.

This is DEFCON MAFIA 3.0

Everyone who wants to be a Dayvigilante gets to be one.
There are DEFCON LEVELS which grow to FIRE THE NUKES.
There are other power roles you can try for if you like in a draft.
But if you want to rain hot nuclear death on your enemies, you will get it. Unlike the draft everyone who wants a nuke will get one.
And you can drink your choice of alcoholic beverage while we watch the nukes fly.
DEFCON 3.0 spawned the PARTY HAT meme as well.

Did I miss anything critical?
There are still players here, after three DEFCON games, who have never fired a nuke, yet were in at least one (two for AV) games.

Eh, I looked and you had seven posts.
No replace out message either so who knows.

No, I know. Your red-blooded American Heart couldn't stand playing as a communist so you left?

It's not too late to nuke some communists.

Scratch that, reviews are going to be cake to find.
Because you can review and play.

The benefits of an open setup.

Yes, please, and people really should just go for the nuclear option right away instead of dilly-dally in silly lynch/kill cycles.

So I'm going to look at this this weekend as my term paper will be done tomorrow and OH SO CLOSE to being done with my MBA.

I won't spoil everything but I'm definitely taking AGMs note to switch Defensive Mode to Surface-to-air. Considered the radiation level thing but I personally think any more complications for TROOPS hurts them too much. And, really, we're all here to shoot some NUKES.

May bring back the Spec Ops Team from DEFCON 1.0.
May add something new.

this setup looks insane, i love it
did another ms user do something lovely? recognize their achievements here!

Today's modern mafia consumer demands dozens, nay, hundreds of roles that are vanilla cops.

Open Setup means you can review and play.
Vi did in 3.0, I was VLA otherwise I would have done both.

I mean reviewers still need Mod Experience to count for King UTs Queue.
