Mechanics you wish were more popular

Just thought any mechanics you guys wish was in more games.

Personally, I would love to see other mods adopt Last Will mechanic to their games, because it encourages players to stay more active and involved, but I also like Plotinus "Note PM" for players to submit if they ever have to sub out.

Any specific game mechanics you guys like that you would love to be done in majority of games?

IMO if used correctly last wills are townsided. If you use them refrain from using high power investigatives that could break the game if able to put their results in their will

Llama's Last Will games only passed votes if I'm not mistaked. I definitely enjoyed those games.

I agree with myko that BaM games were great.

OGML's Boost mafia was fun too. You get two votes. One to lynch and one to boost. Boosting just makes someone's role stronger. So having good town reads was pretty important.

Also, 90% of any mechanics farside ever used in a game of hers that I played, I'd love to see again. Big Brother mafia comes to mind where a HoH nominates two players for a lynch.

I think speed dating mafia was farside's too and I remember it being fun, but not 100% what it was. Something like 3 players go up for a lynch then you vote to save two or something? Or maybe that was a different game?

Edit 2: it was the dating game show. you get 2 votes. top 3 most voted go on the hot seat. then you get one vote to save someone. most voted to be saved gets saved leaving 2 players lynched.

I'd like to see more non-standard lynch mechanics like:

1.) player with most votes at deadline is lynched and if more players are not-voting then no-lynch is achieved - this can get town more invested in making a good lynch rather just any lynch and allows for other interesting happenings

2.) tie mechanics - can vary a lot but say there are 15 alive with 8 to lynch and you've got 2 wagons at 6+6 with a mechanic that once that tie is achieved all other wagons become non-votable and you enter a face-off period and the only 3rd option is no-lynch

double-lynches on a tie

3.) undisclosed deadlines

4.) unlocked Night w/ or w/o Night-Lynching

I don't really know a good title for this, but it's inspired by Inkmasters:

Mafia does not get a factional kill. Lynches are calculated by majority of active votes. Plurality lynching in effect.

Day play goes normally (considered the challenge phase). After the lynch, the game enters elimination phase.

If the day ends in a mislynch, mafia nominates two players for elimination. The mod posts the two names in the game thread and town PM's their selection to the mod. The player chosen most dies.

If the day ends in a mafia lynch, town nominates the two players instead. The mod posts the two names in the thread and mafia collaborate on who to choose.

All members of town MUST submit their choices or lose their vote the following day.

Dreal, I played a game pretty close to your #1 and #2 on another site once. It was whoever has the most is lynched at deadline whether it's the amount requiredfor a lynch or not and in case of a tie, the day goes to "sudden death" and a lynch happens as soon as the tie is broken. So any vote or unvote affecting the tied players is basically a hammer.

Reverse mafia? It's a setup on epicmafia where there's a bunch of Traitors (they don't count for scum's numbers) and some roles to help each side weed out the other (rolecop for mafia, vig and mason for town)
