You can't tell a player that their vanilla when they have some roles they don't know about

You can tell them you have some roles you don't know about.

who said anything about telling them they are vanilla? no one.

I'm talking about if someone's role PM flavor doesn't explicitly tell them their role, but all of the flavor indicates they're a doctor, they should be able to "reasonably anticipate" that they're a doctor.

It'd probably be ok if you specifically said "you are town, but you don't know your role"

Actually you wouldn't even need to hint at it with flavor in that case

well I was just telling a fact why are you yelling at me its not like I'm reviewing a setup infront of me! I'm just telling a very important thing that describes the line of bastaredness and not bastardness

but as infinity is saying You have to somehow tell them what they are (hidden windoconition is bastard) and you can't lie (you don't have any abilities) BUT if their ability is disabled an their not informed about you can somehow tell them their abilities are disabled (according to theme this is diiferent).

If your flavors are supposed to mean something for players you can use it to hint that to players as well, if not you have tell them something directly too.

regardless of all the above this is highly rolemadness style and the game should have the potential for such complexity of that will feel inappropriate.

I was just being more descriptive, definitely wouldn't mislead/lie by saying "you're vanilla" but then giving hidden abilities, the vanilla part in my example was them just assuming it

but yeah, I'm more talking about it so I have some feedback and more nuance about some things because I'm curious :þ
