Modifiers

I am to lazy to Edit the wiki, So I am just putting some modifiers here that I think should be added to wiki and be used in games.

Honest

This modifier gives player always "Town" on Cop checks.

Idea is that its a Reverse Miller, giving scum team ability to look town to cop investigations, and give town also same possibility. Its usage would be in situations where you want to make the cop checks weaker. So the basic difference in this and say Godfather is that this would show up on a Rolecop check. Town players would be encouraged to claim "Honest" early game because role cop will question them why they didn't claim earlier, and if scum have it and don't claim early, they will look suspicious.

Floating

This modifier makes a players actions not seen by investigations

Similar to Ninja, but this is for all alignments and to any action. Weak negative utility for town, Strong utility for scum. Can also be used to weaken any scum investigations.

Unstoppable

This makes a players actions unblock able or from being redirected.

Basically same as Strongman, except could be applied to any roles, so you could have a Unstoppable Doctor who couldn't be blocked by a Scum Roleblocker, etc.

Heavy

Players actions are announced to game thread.
Example "X visited Y last night!" Variations could have this be that it announces the type of action they took, but not the target.

Similar to loud but having more impact since their action(s) are confirmed. Not sure this would have much ability for application, maybe a Heavy Fruit Vendor!

Aware

This tells a player if their action was a success or not.
Variation could also tell if they correctly targeted their intended target

Could be used to buff existing town roles and inform them if they were blocked or redirected potentially.

Masked

Player will flip as vanilla of whatever alignment they were originally

Kind of semi-bastard modifier. This is to reduce setup spec, and weaken roles. Basically players have to out before they die and this causes potential problems of everyone claiming they are a "masked role"

I took the name from tv tropes.
I think I'll rename it Unstoppable. Probably better.

i mean its not needed, but many people associate ninja with scum so they think "Ohh your a ninja thats a scum role", just alt name for it so people don't bias the role into it being certain alignment.

Determinator sounds like strong-willed? What is the difference?

and yes, town ninjas, I've seen them (they would deny it of course, being ninjas)

we describe those abilities as "not informed disabled" around here and an enabler/informer can remove the restrictions

Having a role that does something blatantly unexpected (like a Vigilante who can't actually kill anyone) is bastard. So are unknown win conditions.
Having a role that you don't have full information about (e.g. "You have a night action. You don't know what it does.") in the role PM isn't bastard. However, as it's fairly hard to use effectively, it's nonetheless more suited to bastard-style games than it is to more normal games.

what if you think you're vanilla because your role PM didn't tell you anything except your wincon, but you have hidden abilities that sayyy, if you use the word 'process' in the game, you enable a 1x-vig shot, if you use the word "imagine" you enable a 1x-doc, and the mod informs you if you enable such things?

The clear definition of bastardness is this : cults, mid-game alignment changes, moderator lies that cannot be reasonably anticipated (for example, Godfather, Tailor, Miller, Ninja, and mechanics like that are generally fine. Telling someone they are a reflexive doctor when they're actually a PGO is not), secret win conditions, un-divulged non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, direct moderator influence during the game

Its something Not usual though. A game with that needs to be really carefully designed to make the game not breakable and still enjoyable and its still better to include such edgy mechanic in a game with other edgy mechanics.

actually that IS the phrase that matters the most

"reasonably anticipated", because if something in the role PM were to indicate things about abilities through flavor, but not explicitly say that you had them, then that COULD be reasonably anticipated

You can tell them you have some roles you don't know about.

reasonably anticipated means : without actual faulty information.

telling someone their another thing when their not is not "reasonably anticipate". Telling someone they have a guilty on another player because the other player is a miller is something based on in game roles and from a general view has no faulty information inside. you get the difference?
