On one of my first games (this was back when I had the Dali avi) I remember Sir Bastion said that he gave me a bit of a pass because of my awesome avatar. Ended up winning that game with Plotinus as scum.

Also, re: anime avatar. Here is an amazing guide on correctly identifying anime in your game. Animehunting can be as difficult and intricate as the act of scumhunting itself-- good luck.

I find that avatar seems to affect the tone of posts. When I had my avatar that was gifted to me in the profile change topic, I felt my posts were less aggressive than when I had Mega Rayquaza as my avatar.
Also, I find avatars have a major effect on pronoun choice. If you have a anime avatar, especially the ones usually used, you will likely be called a she. Please put a pronoun preference in your profile if you are worried about being misgendered due to your avatar.
As for reads, avatars don't really effect reads on you, but are sometimes used as explanations for scumreads anyways. If someone says they scumread your avatar ignore them, as they are most likely scum or town with no case trying to find something.
Happy?

Yes, Infinity?
If town finds their own mislynches, why do you need to bother looking town?

Subconsciously, avatars can sometimes affect people's gut reads

I've never seen anyone seriously use someone's avatar as a reason to scumread them

Ahhh, now that my bladder is empty I can think straight.

Yeah, I sometimes wonder/worry if my "gut" reads have some sort of bias from that persons avatar and name.

I almost want to dispute that avatar hunters are either scum or town. Those seem like arbitrary labels when the world is full of people that are way more than just those two.

Well first let me say that your sombrero is extra dapper today sir. Is there a proper time to stop shitposting as any alignment, and if so, when? Thanks in advance Mr. Smiggly.

This is very dependent on personal playing style, but in general terms you should refrain from shitposting when you want to court the vote of a Very Serioustm player who requests that you calm down. But let's be honest. Very Serioustm players are no fun to play with so maybe just never stop shitposting.

Also, I'm not a Sir or a Mr.
