equally stupid; stop scumreading people for not responding to pressure when they havent posted for awhile anyway.
if they showed up, you'd just accuse them of doing the former tell i mentioned. both are stupid.
also stop scumreading people for not immediately responding to your post when they were present right before you posted. no, it doesn't mean they definitely hid out in the scumthread and started asking for advice on how to respond. people have more to do that just mash refresh on the thread over and over and instantly respond to your crap, you blithering ignoramus.
this is a game where phases have a deadline of ~2 weeks. not being present for a half hour stretch of time is never reliably indicative of anything to do with their alignment ever you god damn meshuggeners.
>find a slot that hasn't posted for at least half a day
>apply pressure to slot
>wait a couple hours
Did said player show up and respond at some point?
Yes: "SEE THIS MEANS THEY WERE READING THE THREAD AND ONLY RESPONDED WHEN FORCED THAT MEANS THEYRE LURKING THAT MEANS THEY MUST BE SCUM LETS LYNCH THEM."
No: "SEE THE PERSON IS AVOIDING RESPONDING TO PRESSURE THEYRE TRYING TO LURK IT OUT THEY MUST BE SCUM LET'S LYNCH THEM."
here's a tip. the only way activity level is ever ever ever alignment indicative is if you have an established, reliable meta of that specific player across many games. otherwise it's a useless thing to chase. there are a billion reasons a player is or isn't active. their alignment may be one of them, but you have literally no way of knowing unless there's an established pattern having to do with THAT ONE PLAYER.

Conq: you, sir, are great at being town.
BATMAN: Only jugg was the only one we didn’t scum read at least not me
Quick: There is little to no chance this slot is Power-Wolfing.

On a more serious note, very high activity is USUALLY a town-tell, especially if said person is doing a bunch of stuff in a non-wolfy way. Beyond that, town or scum can very easily be medium to essentially zero activity, and as someone who's gotten pressured repeatedly (as town!) for "why isn't smith obvtown yet" and "why isn't smith tryharding yet" I have some symphathy to this.

Very high activity and effort (and this part is important) over the course of the game is a towntell because it's easier to lose motivation as scum. Otherwise I generally agree.

I've seen several games where one or more of the scumteam are the most active members in the entire game. They use the high activity as a way to lead town and it's usually very effective.
The Clown is Town. The Clown also uses "they" pronouns. Don't be a dick about it?
I know it's weird given the username, but "horrorperson" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Even with the meta to back it, it's still far from a guarantee. Things change in people's lives all the time and those things can change activity. I was very active as a bored college student with nothing better to do. Then I got an apartment without internet and a 40 hour work week and was less active. Then I switched jobs and had more free time and my activity came in bursts. None of those changes made me town or scum in a game, but active Kmd was always townread where less active Kmd would get scum read. Without fail. Every time. Even if activity wasn't the stated reason for the read, that's the way it went.

it's a player tell, not a town tell
if i'm ever scum against you, feel free to call me town based on my activity level tho

Especially if I'm a serial killer
well then just kill me n1, anything less is an insult
Im literally the exact opposite. I like solving, dislike lying. Also my first like five scum games I got trashed over and over again, taught me to dislike it

I dont like how people get free townvred for spamposting
There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.
You must not imagine that for beings like you and us there can be laughter. The low men laugh, and we envy them. But for us, the higher ones, there is no laughter, only an unending vigil, purely serious, stretching on into the night.

not if you're doing well
For me, even if I'm doing well it's easy to get lazy and coast
