It's required to be done in newbies but there are still a lot of normal/theme games that don't do it. Stop being skrub mods.

Doesn't change the fact that the mod lists must be updated every now and then because I've thought to update OPs in my games months after the fact and found that I've been unable to.
When a game ends it's usually the last thing you think to do, and then you go through your games much later on and find out that you hadn't done it.
(I'm not questioning the reasons a listmod removes modding power after a time because there are reasons to do it, it's just that one can't bitch about ops being updated to endgame when the mod will eventually lose the power to do it themselves. If this is important enough, someone is going to need to do this themselves, and they'll likely need special power to do it.)
This is literally one of the first things I do.
I mean.
You kinda sorta should edit your title to say the current phase (including when the game has ended)...so while you're there...while you're in the OP...why the fuck wouldn't you also update it to be up-to-date with the game's current state? It's just common sense.

Procedurally it's the last thing I do. Seems silly to have the nightkill/lynch in the OP before you actually announce it. I take the same mentality with endgame. I just tend to forget to edit the OP after posting role pms, private topics, and post game commentary.
While I update my OP, it is really a pain in the neck to do so. VCs are honestly a lot simpler (for most mods.....) than updating the OP. Maybe that's why mods don't do it.
That said, if moderators care about their game, they should go above and beyond their required duties. And that includes updating the OP at least once a phase.

updated ops can be useful when doing some meta/research
that said I prefer when they don't put who won in the thread title itself cuz sometimes I skip op and do try to "solve" them (probably like no one does this though)

We are talking about once a game finishes who was what role is posted.

It's a basic requirement to have your OP up to date with flips. I don't even care if you don't have VC links - I just want the flips. If you ain't going to do that then don't be a mod on MS.
Like holy fuck I was forced to ISO mods- at some cases multiple mods - at some cases backup mods - and translate an ambiguis flip to understand what happened in that game. I had to guess night actions at some points.
Every mod should be forced to report all details about games (like night actions, flips and link to all topics) after the games are done and those info should all be kept in one place for future.
The one most annoying instance of this is Tatsuya's second Anime UPick. Firebringer claimed traitor after the game ended and I was left thinking the moderator had fucked up the game.

I don't consider it the moderator's job to make your life easier.
It's important that the players can follow along the game and that's the real priority. I'm not going to put all my endgame data in the OP just so you can keep archives easier, you're just going to have to ISO my posts.
I do announce game actions and link to PTs, ect. But the OP is mostly for the players to know who's in the game, who's been lynched, killed ect. It's not my job to make sure it includes all the other data you think is convenient to have for archiving.

I'm asking you why not
It really takes about 5 minutes to organize the game and make sure every detail about it is present.
I agree with Zach here. It's not really necessary. Just updated list of living and dead players, vote counts, and lynch/night kills seems to be good enough.

and a list of all the night or day abilities and a link to all private topics even if they're not released.
