Honestly, I don't even care that RC is good at the game, their playstyle hinges around being emotionally manipulative.

15 page micro that just completed. Town won a two day lylo after lynching both their PR's.

The player that dropped the game winning hammer attributed at least some of their success to having a small thread to read through.

Alisae was the biggest contributor to the massive posting volume early game, and activity dropped by at least half after they replaced out.

At least three town to my recollection could not keep up with the pace of the game. A few players didn't even try to catch up. At least one player suggested that a legitimate play would be to not read the thread and just try to post, interacting with people in real time.

A scum player posted something that should have been in the scum PT out into the actual game thread, and requested mod intervention due to it. The mod did not intervene. They were not lynched.

This game had two players I would consider spam posters in it, but town did fairly well.

I'm pretty obviously biased, but I still think these are the biggest contributions to the town win:

-> ETL, who kinda admitted they real time/spam post, is a top tier player on MS. I don't think I've lost a single game with her unless we were different alignments, and those wins have often involved my team carrying me as dead weight. This may be an indicator that many spam posters are just not making good posts. Quality is better than quantity, and being able to produce both is really freakin' dangerous.

-> After interacting with a spamposter, Jingle recognized his conversation with them was going nowhere, and ended it.

-> Scum claimed a non-normal role, confirming their alignment. I'm not sure whether or not this contradicts the scum slip issue in the point above, but I think this would be easier to catch in a glance than a full blown pt slip. This may also invalidate this game from being a statistic as an outlier.

-> There was a successful townbloc of about 4/5-ish players. This may also contribute to the outlier thing.

-> Due to a bad investigation on my part, scum knew all of the PR's in the game by mid day two. This may have contributed against the outlier thing, but that contribution is negligible in my opinion.

I think statistics would be more effective if we could agree on qualitative benchmarks, but I don't think that's possible.

high paced games should lead to blitz games. i know a lot of my off site friends have been put off the 2 week game days by often calling it "masochism" lol. they're used to faster games where everyone posts a lot, but the days are a lot shorter.

thats just my offsite experiences. i dont play here anymore because the games are too long for me in highschool, and activities too high lol.

also this is not unique to mafiascum, mafiascum just has yet to adapt. high posting on mobile devices (which is the only place ill ever make multiple posts) is pretty common on places like mu or tos which at least tos is filled with younger, low attention span players. mu's solution was to make games like turbos which last for maybe an hour where you post as much as you want, but in other games the meta seems to be long posts with critical analysis. it's pretty reasonable.

on tos, theyre entire meta in 2015 shifted to high aggro posting that consisted of a lot of posting. therefore, the game days were shifted to just 4-5 days a game day, and thats generally how every game on the site is.

ive yet to find another site with 2 week game days in the current mafia meta overall, but i might just be avoiding those sites altogether.
