I mean, regardless of skill level creating a stagnant inflated thread will create a game state that a) benefits scum and b) reduces replace rates. But i also agree that most players with that style tend to perform poorly in situations that require deduction (like, I dunno, the game of mafia).
You are just a muppet... You have no heart... and cannot feel any pain.
Most hyperposters are also using 6-7 posts to rapidly state 6-7 ideas that could/should have been one post as well, which then gets used by many of them when people complain as "but look at all this
content
I'm posting, why are you attacking me for posting
content
" as if the amount of textual diarrhoea should make you more willing to swallow said diarrhoea
I just got out of a game where I as scum capitalized on a lot of textbook things going wrong, and I'm thinking on how to use it as an example of where the site meta has gone bad without making it look like an underhanded call out.
The first number is that I don't want to mention anything related to post volume.

I mean there were definitely a few players whose ISOs were so long that it made it a hassle to replace in, sift through, catch up, and do analysis, while I was under the pressure of being immediately lynched. I ended up just not reading a lot of stuff.
Most of those players were scum.
Substantial activity isn't an issue. Multiposting and spamfests are, I think.

theres lots of reasons but psychologically you should know that it feels like a bigger effort to read 2 pages instead of 1, even if those pages contain the same amount of total words.

This is part of what people are missing. If you'll read my games you'll notice I post a lot. I'm typically in the top half of posters in the game, and ofter in the top 5.
I don't have a problem with people posting a lot, I have a problem with people posting for no god damn reason. It's just noise.

But u didn’t capitalize on anything?
I could count on my hands the number of times I interacted with my scum buddies that game, and it's because I could tell I didn't have to.

I think a lot of scum get away with not doing much but so do Town so it’s hard to distinguish between them
If all Town were actively involved and forcing scum to up game then town would probably do better
Scum have a bad tendency to just commit to w.e game activity is.
If game is slow or apethetic then so is scum

This has literally no purpose. Looking at your post history, I could pluck another half dozen from ongoing games but won't for obvious reasons. You're a horrible little troll and don't deserve the time out of my morning that I've just given you, but at least this post has a purpose, and it's to dunk on you.

The game Flubber was talking about was lost for reasons unrelated to spam, we had a high-content D1 but lost because we locked ourselves into a shitty lurker lynch while pressuring that slot for content and the next few days resulted in some animosity that killed off the energy from D1 and changed the tone of the gamestate to apathy.
Really the issue was an awkward transition from high to low content.
