i think I really really agree with this post.In post 243, Firebringer wrote:I think a lot of scum get away with not doing much but so do Town so it’s hard to distinguish between them
If all Town were actively involved and forcing scum to up game then town would probably do better
Scum have a bad tendency to just commit to w.e game activity is.
If game is slow or apethetic then so is scumOf all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Would like to know how you figured this... As far as I can see, meta is not a causality to a good Town game for a site. I would like to hear your reasoning on this.In post 251, Alisae wrote:reminder.

Yeah, meta used right is very powerful but the majority of the time I see it misused (I have some bad experiences with this myself) where people latch on to nai things and just be bad at it.
Also, I'm not sure if I just have a bad sample size on this, but my impression was 2015/6 when people misread/lost they cared more, I remember usually seeing reasonable postgame discussion of why people had wrong reads and feedback and such and that kind of thing where people tried to work out their differences a bit harder for future. Now I feel like more people brush it off (just go queue up a bunch more) and don't care as much to go into what mistakes exactly were made to try to avoid it for next time. But I've not ever played that many games so it's possible I've just happened to be in certain games and that my experience is not actually representative.-

Meta is rarely used correctly here, so generally I dismiss it.
If you have had a shot at reading someone half a dozen times, you probably have a good idea how they think and can use that to good effect in the current game.
If you're getting all that info second hand, you haven't had your assumptions put to the test, so how can you know if you're getting the right conclusions?
