Favorite Color to mod in

I've been playing around with different colors

my current favorite is

#FFAA00 in bold

What is your favorite to mod in?

if you must they should be very dark and bold, which works on almost all skins and isnt hard to read.

HEY! HEY! You are saying words that make sense. You are being a sensible person. Thats not allowed!

but for real tho, i think it would be interesting to pull the metrics for theme preference and see if there are colors that look good (have enough contrast) on the top 2 (3?) most used themes, and those that look good on some but horrendous on others

yeah, as someone who thinks a lot about ux/ui for work, its really clear to me that all of the mods who post in colors (esp. rainbow or bright colors) don't know anything about disability requirements or ADA compliance.

basically these colors are really difficult for some people to see and theres no reason to have them other than you think they're pretty.

What do you mean by tested? Do you mean you looked at them and they looked fine to you so you assumed they were fine?

Or do you mean you used a tool like this?

Because if you're just checking how they look with normal vision you're doing it wrong.

most dark colors won't have enough contrast with mafBlack.

tl;dr?

Test your colors on all skins, using a tool like this (sorry, the one I posted before was a desktop program, I assume a browser utility would be more convenient) and make sure that your colors with the background meet the contrast requirements for ADA compliance. If you're going to do that, use whatever. Otherwise, just use the default. The desire to be pretty to you specifically doesn't outweigh the needs of others to read your text!
