Favorite Color to mod in

The problem with that chart is mafSilver was the default skin for an extremely long time, and there are probably a lot of abandoned accounts from back in the day still using it. If the chart isn't taking this into account (and it doesn't appear to be) the bias isn't surprising.

I really prefer mafiablack(and it is the standard) because it looks way better than anything else.

If you think MafBlack looks good, I HIGHLY recomend you try MafSilver or MafSepia for 5 days and try switching back.
I understand why you think MafBlack looks better at first, you're anchored to it so you're conditioned to like it more since it IS a newer skin, however try it.
I found that after trying Sepia for 5 days every time I tried switching back to MafBlack I just couldn't do it.

MafSepia is okay; however, MafSilver has horrible contrast compared to MafBlack imo.

The dark blue is passable though, and it actually looks even better on silver

Blue seems like an objectively good choice. Different from black, no implied connotations like with green or red, legible, unlike yellow, different from other text, unlike black. Not purple because purple is my favorite color and modding doesn't make you cool enough to use my favorite color and make it unspecial. Not ugly, like every shade of orange.

I use

because I use the following format for votecounts and other official text:

which, at least on mafSilver, is automatically rendered in that color (example below). I haven't tested how it looks in other themes or if the color still matches, so I suppose I should do that.

yeah, as someone who thinks a lot about ux/ui for work, its really clear to me that all of the mods who post in colors (esp. rainbow or bright colors) don't know anything about disability requirements or ADA compliance.

basically these colors are really difficult for some people to see and theres no reason to have them other than you think they're pretty.

You seem like the most informed person here. Based on your experience, which colors would be the best from a readability standpoint for a prospective mod to use?

Other random thought: what about using a mod typeface instead of a mod color? There would be no worries about contrast, even on the extremely uncommon themes, with the only concern being to choose a font that's readable and available on a wide range of platforms.

Which disabilities?

If it's dyslexia, there are actually typefaces specifically designed to be sensitive to it, such as OpenDyslexic.
