I think that game has to go into 2019 nominations given it ended this year.

I’ll explain a lot more later BUT the tl;dr reason is:
They have the best reads out of any town player I am aware of that isn’t Ellibereth.
They are always extremely obvious town
They can get their reads lynched

Like they’re probably just he best town player that still plays currently. Let’s look at Varsoon’s recently ended game.
By D2 they had the whole scumteam in their FoS pool and build an extremely strong townbloc. Their play was so strong that most of their reads would be carried out even after death if V didn’t completely abandon his game (we still love him though). He is the only reason why the village would have 100% won that game.

i really think newbie moderation shouldn't get a moderation scummy but then if i argue that. i am saying that scummies have some meaning.
so i guess i can't argue that except to say that more people need to nth the only meaningful scummy, KODAK MOMENT FOR RECKONER

I wanna see his scum game. I’ve only seen him scum in a newbie, and then in the game I modded where he was quick lynched page 3.

I assume missed = modded
And yeah he was quicklynched the one time but he’s skated by a LOT more

Why?

If the games go off without a hitch, and people enjoy playing them, why not? By that token, you also must discount Open games, and presumably maybe also Normal games?

Honestly newbie moderation should get considered because it motivates good modding in newbies which should create a larger amount of newbies who keep playing

Honestly tho Why isn't there an award for Exceptional Newbie Moderation, Exceptional IC, etc. It's what keeps the site alive and should be lauded!

i am not holding those games at the same token.

i am not saying newbie games shouldnt get a nomination because "setup never changes", which I am assuming your saying here.

I think moderating newbie games is much more of a service to the site and therefore not something I view as you do for accolades, even though i think newbie games are trash, and I think giving out awards for that service is dumb.

we don't give out awards for best list mod or best moderator, do we?
or maybe we should.

It's not exactly a recent game but looking back I definitely think it's worth consideration. The whole campaigning, election and party system was really unique in a way that differentiated itself a lot from just simple Kingmaker and opened up a lot of design space for unique and interesting roles that went really well with the flavor. Like, there were just so many mechanics coming together in a way that, in my view, never detracted from the core gameplay: the party system itself, party PTs, public announcements, voter fraud and correspondingly the electoral commission, and probably more I'm forgetting.

It ended up being pretty hard on the town, but I still think the setup was among the most creative I've seen this year.

Maybe someone else who was in the game could add a bit more.

wanted to add to the northsidegal paragon writeup that i didn't actually writeup that she has a 80.7% town winrate between that account and 1 other account that's definitely not her.
