The mod didn't hand the scum a vig, he still followed the rules of mininormal.
A scum claimed vig so there is a difference (and had a fakeclaim for later day vig)

In that case the town vig should shoot the vig fakeclaim. If they fail, counterclaim.

Also the original person claiming was scum, the counterclaimer was town. This is how it goes 95% of the time, and most of the remaining 5% is townies counterclaiming other townies.

Being reviewed for normalcy means next to nothing, sadly.

Checking modmeta is infinitely more useful.

FakeGod: Hello, well in that case the fact that vigs as scum are forbidden in normals and sidemeta that 2 vigs, that could shoot both at night 1 in a mininormal don't exist in the sidemeta, imho means somethink.

i basically advertised the game as "nothing crazy" so yeah the setup spec was pretty appropriate and accurate for mod meta

In multiball, it's very common for scum to be given protective or self-protective roles (so that if they're looking particularly townish they can protect themselves from the other team crosskilling).

Outside multiball, giving scum bulletproofing is odd from a design point of view. If there's no vig, it doesn't do anything. If there is a vig, it effectively punishes the vig for scumhunting effectively. When you have a vig in your setup, the vig's scumhunting skill is going to have a major effect on the result, and that's something you balance around. So adding a random chance of that being completely reversed (some flip is normally better than no flip unless odd/even considerations intervene) is not only hard to balance, it also makes player skill less important.

Outside lylo, You lynch someone that is scummy and did not claim vig. Real vig will kill fake vig next night. Played right, you'll have 2 scum dead at start of next day

Holy moly, a scum vig hasn't even crossed my mind. Has the site fallen so far?

The Scumvig was only checked shortly. Has happened in the past (in large themesgames before), couldn't happen here.

Two 2 vigs were posible before rolerandomise. But it would have been a Joat with a vigshot and a night 3-bulletproof, night 4 vig. I have found the combo even/odd-nights vig + scum/SK/vig in mini normals.
