Why isn't Marathon offered year round?

I think there's interest enough to run marathon week every three or four days in a month though?

From what I saw my brief time looking at that site, a much faster pace is what the overall meta is.

I think once a month is a good idea... Definitely more often than once to thrice a year.

Going just from anecdotal evidence it seems to focus on timeframes when people are likely to be more available, like holidays?

Those guys live and breath mafia beyond what happens here
They have 12h/12h day/night games. That mean you losing internet for a day equals a dropped night action.
