you might want the backup mod queue rather than the moderator society
from what i've seen of your modding i don't think you need like a "how to mod"/confidence (your style is good), you just need a backup mod due to modflaking--given we're working with first-time mods i don't think it makes a lot of sense to have them shadow your games + act as backup for you but if you were running a game with a backup and with a newbie shadowing i guess that works fine
hope this makes sense, and sorry if I'm coming across as critical/rude. just think the backup mod queue will be a better fit for what you're after.
Yeah I have (and will in the future) posted there to find a backup.
My coming here is from a veteran standpoint. While it is true that due to my restriction I don't think I can be an official backup anymore, I am willing to serve as a shadow adviser for newer mods.
I've been an active mod since 2012 and would like to do what I can to help the new generation of mods avoid huge mod mistakes like The one I made in this game (N1619)
Hey, all, this is Inferno390 here under the guise of the new MMS alt! I'm going to be using this alt specifically for keeping up with this thread, so I thought I'd give you a heads up!
I can't wait for it to really spin up, because it's pretty slow right now. We've only got 2 whole experienced mods on the list, so it's maybe not the biggest surprise in the world.
There are actually more than 2 mods that count as experienced in here
I just haven’t updated this thread in a very long time
Which is one of the reasons I am going to create a new one in the coming days.
I mean that would honestly be a good start
But I have no idea how to do that (going to assume it has something to do with the skittles) and also there are a couple things not in the opening post that I would like to implement, such as a spot specifically for mod resources.
It’s worth looking at though. I’m going to do a little digging and see if I can’t work that out.
Gotta agree with the duck. I don't see a reason to toss this thread and start anew when the threads owner could probably be changed through one of the higher-ups easily and any information said here could be retained.
User:Ircher/Standard_Ruleset
This page contains my standard ruleset. (Note: I still need to finish writing the page. The primary part of the ruleset has already been written.) While it is on the longer side, it clearly lays out expectations. Anyone is free to use it or a modified form provided that they add a note that they stole/modified my ruleset.
I also have User:Ircher/Newbie_Ruleset that I used to use for newbie games back when I used to mod them. That page gives the exact BBCode I used. I would suggest it if you want a much leaner/trimmed down ruleset.

I'm gonna be running Marked for Death (8p) in the micro queue soon. I already have the immensely awesome Skygazer for backup, so if anyone would be keen to just keep an eye on the modding process, I'd be very glad to have ya.
As just a general thing, I’d potentially be willing to write out some flavor for games if anyone wants it. It’d just depend on how busy I am with other things.
I actually have some flavor I'd like to work with, but it's way too complicated for me to consider for a first game, and even then I'd probably need help even if I was experienced. Maybe once I watch the duck at work I'll go throw out a game of my own and work towards this eventual goal.
