I have tried many times to get games of chat mafia going, including on weekends, and there is almost never enough interest for an actual game. I like the format but Marathon Weekends are few and far between and hard to play even when they do happen. (And for something that fast-paced, chat is better than the forums which are designed for a handful of long posts per day and not 300 per hour... like, even P-Edits are disabled, and I once played a game with an accidental hammer right from RVS!)
So I wondered if perhaps there could be an established weekly time where we would get on the site chat and play mafia (vengeful, bird 7p, lovers, or perhaps just a 5p LyLo setup) or palace games (Assassin in the Palace, but perhaps with a limited number of Guards allowed to be lynched, or something similar).
How about

Scum Chat:
1. Create a secret room for the scum chat (if applicable). Call it something like "ScumChat32891" or something else random so it is hard to guess.
2. Click the little triangle in the upper right corner. Select "Change Password".
3. Go to RANDOM.org and generate a random number from, say, 1 to 999999 to use as the password. (This makes it hard to guess.)
4. Private-message each player by clicking their name in the "rooms" tab of the site chat panel. The scum should also receive the password. E.g. "You are scum, password is 123456".
Other things are self-explanatory. I recommend two rooms, a main discussion room and another room for the votes (which otherwise get easily lost).

Eh, I posted that with less than 24 hours of notice. Of course no one will show up. People need time to like actually see it and act on it.
In a week or maybe two we will get more interested.

Suggestions:
Make a list of interested users in the OP. Not necessarily people who WILL be there, but people who say they MIGHT. Interest breeds interest.
Periodically drop into sitechat to advertise yourselves throughout the week. Encourage people to Ego here.
Let people use this thread to set up additional times where they might be interested in additional games. Sat at 630 might not work for everyone all the time, but an indexed location of what's coming up (similar to the queues but less formal) might help jumpstart interest.
I'mma go back to being lazy and noncommital now.
