Question on Activity

Hi all,

I'm having fun, but I'm wondering... are all the games here super slow, or is the amount of activity game/queue dependent?

I understand the need for the number of days in a Day phase, due to schedules and whatnot. That's not what I mean by slow.

If activity is queue dependent, which one(s) tend to have the liveliest games?

Ta!

The amount of activity is player dependent. It's unlikely a game will remain with a consistent level of activity for the entire play through. Most likely, you'll experience extremes: either everyone's active and churning out 15+ pages or no one's active. Game's usually feel slow because of the time between waiting for other people to post and add content, not necessarily depending on the what type of game you're in.

Right now, many people have mid-terms, so it's a bit slower than normal.

So no, activity is not queue dependent, but rather player dependent. Just because a game quickly fills in the Queue when it hits sign-ups, does not guarantee that everyone's going to be as active as they appeared to be when signing up.

If you're talking about Queue stall instead, that's more out of player preference for their games.

For example, I usually hung out in the Micro and Open Thread and eventually spread out to the rest. I still would play a Semi-Open more often then a Normal, it just happens that the Open Queue is going through games that I dont like ATM.

I joined an amazing Large Theme Modular Open for example, which seems right up my ally in style.

From my skimming, it seems large games have the least amount of soul crushing dead zones.

I'm thinking that playing a large along with a couple smaller games might keep me occupied.

I've looked at a couple sites with faster games, but I don't like the idea of trying to keep in mind which roles function in which ways on which site. Too much potential for confusion, so I'm trying to figure out a way to keep busy here.
