When’s the last time you saw a real scumslip?

Since they’re so rare I felt like seeing how common real one are.

Town in this scenario has a 75% chance of randomly hitting town. I used this post to correctly lynch the slot when I replaced into lategame

idk, town also slips fairly often

Like, it's not rare for town, due anger, call someone they've been scumreading most of the time terrible town.

I townslip as scum more often than I do as town.

I've made a real scumslip before now but it was only caught by the dead thread (and it was a while ago at this point).

or that i'd then bus my other partner the next day to leave the game for me to try to carry
there's a subtle one here that i'm not sure was even really a scumslip

i think skitter reads these threads, what do you think about the

?

^ very relatable post. I actually think I scumslip more as town too due to accidentally scum-siding via bad memory and/or laziness too.

I've been cleared for some very weird reasons tbh

In the game I won on MU, I had a major one, that no one noticed. I am still shocked that I got away with it.

i have seen no reason to believe wrong word-type things hold water about alignment

e.g. "there is no world where this flips scum." ... "*town"

it's hard to, like, word statements involving e.g. negative phrasing - and as wolf you have a habit of looking over wording a little bit

at that point i knew i had a pretty good chance of winning, especially if i could sell the 'out of my scumrange' narrative (despite just winning gerrymandering) and 'i would never bus my partners to leave it to me to play this given how much i hate scum' narrative - both of which are cards that i knew i *probably* couldn't play again? or at least not really expect them to work as well, especially if i actually won that game?

so i think i tried to sell it pretty hard, and may have gone a little bit overboard

and i was kinda running out of motivation/energy and at that point i was wondering why i ever thought it would be a good idea to bus both partners and keep the game going on till like day6 or whatever

idk if it was a slip but maybe a little too sincere and too like focused on what scum!me was thinking at that point i guess

I try to make one every single scum game because I like living on the edge.

I also tend to scum slip as town more than actual scum slip as scum.

How's that a scumslip and not just literally claiming scum?

Sorry I guess it’s missing the contextual post
He claimed that he was a motion detector who detected me and got “no motion”
My quoted post was in response to that scumslip
Then he claimed scum

I wouldn't really call that a scumslip because it's not excess of info, but rather lack of info.

i don't think it was a scumslip, more like he forgot that irrel had claimed my action and didn't incorporate it into his results

In the game I won on MU, I posted info about the setup, that I couldn’t possibly have known as town. How no one caught it, is still a mystery to me.

It was a ninjas and guns setup and we had a 2 goons, a joat and a mafia vig.

tbh MU towns fail perception checks pretty hard sometimes
I have a story about that but it’s not related to the thread topic

Came here to post that one - I think that’s the only legit one in however many games I’ve played here now - about 15?

See post 15 of this quicktopic from this game, wherein packbat technically hard-scumslipped in like three different quicktopics in a way that (again, technically) outed both him and me about 1 day into the game and no one noticed and we went on to win.

Because the game was carried out in 4-person quicktopics, no one noticed that he had claimed my rooms instead of his without ever having been told what my rooms were in the quicktopic we shared; additionally no one noticed him claiming rooms with "implosion" replaced with "you", as he had copy-pasted what he'd said in our scum quicktopic.

In a recent chat mafia role madness game I was faking a posting restriction as scum that I could only quack in the main game chat, but could speak freely via my one shot neighbourising ability.

in the hood, I claimed truly that I was involved in the resolution of another player's ability at the EXACT moment they confirmed in the gamechat that the mafia was involved in resolution of their ability.

the day ended like 10 seconds later and I got to nightkill my neighbour but that meant I was stuck saying nothing but "quack" and hoping for the best, for the rest of the game

0/10 would not recommend scumslipping

i am always peeved when someone refers to a thing a town player did as a scum slip when it was done by a town player.
like a slip implies that ur let out information that proves your guilt. you saying a town person scum slipped is like saying a innocent person just proved his guilt.
no he didn't he made himself look bad and potentially screwed himself by getting a incorrect verdict.
