Don't worry I've already made the unilateral decision and picked some dates next month.

Man this is right up my alley but I don't normally have time for marathon/live/chat games. It requires a lot of continuous free time which is a rare commodity :D

I'm /in for the optimism.

can we start coordinating what set ups require testing

Yeah sure. Make any suggestions here or via the google form I sent out (also in post# btw)

Luckily there isn't a huuuuge degree or coordination needed and we can run setups to the number of people online
but the more conversation/hype leading up to the weekend, the better.

Whatcha thinking setup-wise, Vizzy?

I think I'll be around for some time between 20:30 to 00:30 in GMT (0).

in the weekends maybe a bit more.

about setups...hmmm, I don't really know. I'm fine with playing whatever you guys want to test out.

I probably won't be modding anything but I'll play whatever I can

we need like ~10 times as many players as mods for some of these setups so that's perfect by me. I really like modding.

Marathon weekends have this knack for falling on weekends when I'm not available. :?

Can't commit to anything yet, sorry. If I am free though, I'm down to play or mod basically whatever.

I promise to completely forget about marathon weekend, log in while it's happening and flip a coin to decide whether I'm gonna play anything.

When you get a chance tw could you throw a list of setups people have requested into the OP so we can start organizing times for individual setups people want to make sure they catch?

Also, can we add whatever setup wins the challenge thread thing in your sig to the list. :D

all is pretty quiet on the setup request front (I kinda expected as much)

I can throw in some setups I'd like to play? :3

Okay. Setup suggestions then. :P

mith's change here looks interesting to me: viewtopic.php?f=115&t=77281
viewtopic.php?f=115&t=77376 - Currently in a queue, but duplicating setups isn't the end of the world.
viewtopic.php?f=115&t=78146 - several player number options that are interesting.

interesting and possibly balanced options I'm interested in from the challenge thread:

viewtopic.php?p=10667227#p10667227
viewtopic.php?p=10674628#p10674628
viewtopic.php?p=10674650#p10674650
viewtopic.php?p=10676608#p10676608
viewtopic.php?p=10681717#p10681717
viewtopic.php?p=10681796#p10681796

Previously run, but I'd be interested in seeing additional games:

viewtopic.php?f=84&t=77903

Also, I've got a vague idea for a travelling Desperado game that I might whittle into a real setup before the marathon weekend.

i think i felt weird about running a setup that might be hilariously unbalanced but i guess that's the whole point of this, huh?

i'll probably be trying a 10:3 version of this old idea

this seems like a really cool setup that never got tested. might run it as 11:2 to test the waters first

marked for death has been run before once but would be a good one to play

lynch or no lynch might be a bit dry but that's never stopped me before, and i think it looks interesting

called it looks like a really fun one for a fast marathon game

This is good. Please keep em coming, awesome suggestions from all of you!

When I have some PC time (excepting my lunch break which will be devoted to other things I suspect - possibly tomorrow) I'll table these up & filter by player count and setup notes. for example nightless, vengeful, flag mechanics, vigilante, etc.

If anyone would like particular things noted on the table hmu! It's easier to do them upfront than edit in later.

watch this space :shifty:

Please note whether I'm going to roll scum or town in the table. TIA.
