Blacklists are great. It means you don't have to play with someone who makes your life unpleasant.

Public blacklists are probably not great - you should take it up with the game mod rather than dragging your shit out into the open.

Okay, but if they are a bad thing, what is the alternative? It seems to me the effects of not having player blacklists is harmful both on the micro level - individual games suffer - and on the macro level - it encourages antisocial behavior, or at least fails to discourage it.

He insulted me previously in this thread and via PM. I currently have him on ignore, because that’s pretty much ALL he did in our PM exchange was insult me, harass me and be rude to me. I will however trust your word on this and assume, he isn’t just calling me an “asshole” repeatedly, for disagreeing with him.

What you’re saying is really just splitting hairs, because as I said, I vehemently disagree with that “hypothetical”. I view it as emotional manipulation and bullying and I don’t think it makes anyone an “asshole”, when they stand up to bullies. When you think, someone is being unfair to you, it in no world makes one an “asshole” to stand up to that. I know you don’t see it that way but I do, 1000%.

Yeah, I had to ask him more than once to leave me alone and had to actually go as far, as threaten to report him. Sure, I can send you the PMs. Is that allowed? On some sites, it constitutes a violation of privacy to do that and it doesn’t necessarily extend to threads. However, it definitely makes him a hypocrite, doesn’t it?
