What ruleset

Hard disagree with that. The only thing I hate more than reading wallposts is making them.In post 35, tn5421 wrote:Here's an unpopular opinion.
Games that don't carry the Geriatric ruleset are unplayable.
Question. If on D1 a Townie gets to L-1 with like 11 votes and then tactically replaces out of the game, assuming the deadline isn't a factor is it basically always the correct play as scum to unvote and let the wagon collapse? In post 34, RadiantCowbells wrote:You need to play around replacements as scum
Hard to say.In post 54, Vi wrote:Question. If on D1 a Townie gets to L-1 with like 11 votes and then tactically replaces out of the game, assuming the deadline isn't a factor is it basically always the correct play as scum to unvote and let the wagon collapse?
Asking for a friend who tried not doing that. Also because the answer can have ~implications
As a game host if I had full discretion I’d probably just modkill the tactical replace out and shove the game to night phase. That sort of thing is dirty pool and shouldn't be tolerated, and people who would tactical replace out in that position shouldn’t be tolerated by game hosts. In post 55, RadiantCowbells wrote:Hard to say.In post 54, Vi wrote:Question. Scum tactically replace too so it's not like it hard townspews the slot if you can spin the discourse around it.
Depends why you were wagoning them in the first place too.
I like this concept but 10 per person per day seems a bit low for my tastes. Love the idea though.
Thats a popular opinionIn post 61, tn5421 wrote:I'll gladly die as scum if it gives my scumbuddy a material advantage.
As I said, it's great for confirming what you already believe - whether or not that confirmation is accurate, you'll find evidence you're correct. If you think they're scum and you're looking at their town game, they behaved differently in some way in that different game. If you're looking at a scum game, the same person played similarly in both that previous scum game and the game you're already in.In post 65, Ankamius wrote:Meta is good as a supporting argument for other reasons, not as the primary reason
Given how many people seem to make no effort to avoid it then get actively offended post-game when they were lynched, well, apparently. There have been some fucking awful lynches over the years, but by the same token if someone is lurking, completely disconnected from the game, spouting random garbage, won't talk to anyone, and frequently votes popular wagons with little comment when they do come back from lurking... well, who was responsible for that lynch again? Or people who get three votes, roll over, show their belly, and go "lynch me, I clearly must deserve it"is (1) controversial?
this is something I've had to learn the hard wayIn post 63, GreyICE wrote:4) Working together is necessary for town success. If you plan to play this game solo, you're dead weight. You'll also probably survive to LyLo or get mislynched. There's a pattern there.
