Dethwing Classic

Dethwing Classic is a 5 person OpenSetup.

There is one mafia and four cops (one sane, one insane/reverse, one naive, one paranoid). It is usually played with the CopHeadStart rule.

Because of the small size, it is often used for impromptu games.

----
Knowing the setup is a strong advantage... I believe that revealing is indeed the correct play for the town. The order DOES matter. Alphabetical, reverse alphabetical, or some other easily agreed upon method is probably good. Usually (always?) you can determine at least one innocent. The innocents should determine the investigations for the night and order of reveal the previous night.

Tips for analysis:
1) Assume Player1 is guilty: try to find an inconsistancy. Repeat for each player. Do this without assuming you are innocent.

For example, earlier today we saw this result:
A investigated B and got Guilty
B investigated E and got Not Guilty
C investigated D and got Guilty
D investigated B and got Guilty
E investigated B and got Not Guilty

This confirms E as innocent.
Here's how I know:
Assume A is mafia: That means B is sane or naive; B is insane or paranoid; C is insane or paranoid; and D is sane or naive. There is no conflict there.
(Skipping the next three)
Assume E is Mafia: That means that B is Naive (only legitimate Not Guilty result). Since no one else investigated E and all got gulty, there is no one that can be sane.

2) Then add in the information that you are innocent and you can often clear another (unless you are already cleared)

3) Now as mafia, you probably have a good sense of peoples sanity and what sanities you can pick. You should figure out what sanity you need to be and stick with it. Look at the investigations, quickly mark down the results and figure out who will be confirmed and kill someone who will be known innocent.

I prefer unknown set-ups.

Maybe 4 investigators of unknown sanity (possible duplicates , at least one sane) would work as well.

Fairer to the scum if it's unknown set-up. Especially now that I have my secret weapon!

It's like a slightly more complicated shirt mafia (which I love.)
