The thing is, the players are here to play mafia right ? So it's only logical that they keep exeing peoples

Plus generally, they're not going to be really happy that they lost 3 weeks of playtime to a game that didn't matter anyways

I played a mafia game in my old forum that was a joke but specifically designed to seem real. The host would give out fake town and scumflips but in reality every single player was an executioner with varying targets, and the goal was for the players to figure it out.
Pissed me the fuck off when i figured out it was BS. And made me wary of trolling mafia game hosts ever since.
Not exactly the same, but anytime host messes with the setup by having it secretly be bastard is ruining the trust players will have in the host.
