i wanna get a thread going where people who wish to improve are able to get honest input from others on what their weaknesses might be(feel free to add good points of a player in if you'd like). Bonus points for explaining what the person can do to improve.

I'll start by saying that I myself did make this thread because I do want criticism.

I know my major weaknesses are as town that I:

am susceptible to good pockets
get myself discredited too easily even if I'm 100% right
don't form townblocks well
generally take too long to reach conclusions that others already have
probably theres more that i cant think of now but please add to it!

if you have any for scum I'll take it. I don't think that I really have much in terms of that.

I don't have a big enough sample size to give you a proper analysis but I think you were really under the radar in our game together, and if you didn't have ashoka running the show it might have been a much worse time there. Overall my general advice to players who don't engage much in games is to speak up! While I don't mean you have to spam like me, at least showing a bit of aggression and stance taking helps keep you out of PoEs or eliminated as a LHF slot.

I did believe you had the ability to endgame that game even if both your partners died there.

I only have one completed game and I could take some criticism on it! I replaced in day 1 and became the day 1 elimination.

Koba: the biggest thing I would say for you is to be less abrasive, which lets people cooperate with you more easily. It's probably helpful for both alignments.

Alright as a suggestion since we have a lot of requesters and not much feedback going on, link a game or 3 that u feel reflects your average play, or perhaps a bad game where you feel you made a critical error and want to avoid it.

From our limited experience together, I think the key thing I would suggest is to pay attention to the gamestate, especially in lylo. If you’ve been tunnelled on someone and you end up in lylo with them ask if that’s really a lylo that’s good for them and why they would choose it, versus if you’re wrong would it be a good lylo for the other person. It can feel truly awful (because you worry that you’re getting big brained by someone you already suspected) but *most* of the time it’s right. Since I started trying to approach lylos this way instead of just “who do I think is the scummiest player here” I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in choosing correctly.

It's hard to critique others when you're terrible at this game.

I can give some specific feedback for future play from games I've played together.

For example, Ydrasse, you vig claimed in flavor vs. Pooky by saying you would visit me at night. it could have been wifom, but I didn't really think it was. Don't give the scum team information unless you need to.
I think as scum you could stand to a be a little less passive and more assertive, try to figure out something to say to miseliminate someone that can fly for the town and practice at it. I don't know if you read the scum PT in flavorleaf versus Pooky.

But you can break down some basic components of his and I think they make playing scum more fun.

There's Tactics that you can use to win engagements with others or secure a miselimination, so called short term play.
While Strategy is more of a broad overarching goal. Identifying your strategies and what tactics you need to achieve them is probably a good thing to get into the habit of doing.
You might want to sit down and think about how you want to play games as scum more broadly from a personality or identity perspective this might motivate you to try new things and improve.
You already know you have trouble fake solving and you're working on it.
