Action Resolution
Can someone explain action resolution to me. Like if I was given a list of roles in order of resolution how would I decide how the actions are performed? For example if a friendly neighbor's message is above the nightkill on a resolution list what would this mean if the same person was targeted? They get the message but die anyway?- Ircher

Natural Action Resolution
The most important aspect is the golden rule: apply actions that affect other actions first and then repeat the process. When you have paradoxes and ambiguities (crazy redirects, multiple roleblockers), you can use a list as specified on the wiki page to resolve actions.
Of particular note: killing a player does not prevent them from acting (however, it does play weird with cult recruitment style roles). If a friendly neighbor dies, the recipient should (in the absence of other actions) still receive the message.- Ircher

So an example:
We have 6 players: A, B, C, D, E, F. The night actions are as follows:
A blocks B.
B blocks C.
C kills A.
D sends a friendly message to F.
E kills D.
F does nothing.
The action resolution looks like this:
1. A successfully blocks B. (It resolves before B's block because nothing affects A's block whereas B's block is affected by A's block.)
2. B fails to block C.
3. C successfully kills A. Notice that C's ability does not prevent A from blocking B.
4. D successfully sends a friendly message to F. Notice again that E killing C does not prevent this from happening.
5. E successfully kills D.
6. F receives D's message.- Ythan
