There's been quite a bit of talk about modifiers lately so I thought we could have a thread for modifier ideas or to highlight lesser-used or obscure modifiers you like

I'll kick things off

Frugal

if an X-shot action fails for any reason, the player does not expend the shot

Recharging

Vain

You will unavoidably die if you successfully target a Town-aligned player.

Rampaging

Ability passively affects everyone else visiting your target.

Popcorn

Ability is given to the person you target it with. If your target is dead then the pass fails.

Double-Checking

Learns who their ability

Fast

Your ability will always resolve first instead of following standard NAR format

Slow

You ability will always resolve last instead of following standard NAR format

Nervous

If your target performs a night action, or if a night action other than yours is performed on your target, your role will fail.

Timid

If any player targets you with a night action, your role will fail.

Mindless: after you use your action on a player, they receive a message informing them that you acted on them and they now choose how you use your role (but not what your role is). The following night, you will perform your action on whatever target that player chooses. (Mindless will then apply again).

obsessed : if the player you targeted last night is still alive, you must target them again

High-Strung

If you are successfully targeted with a night action, you will attack your target in addition to using your previous ability on them.

You investigate as the vanilla variant of your faction.

Professional

Immune to role disablers and enablers.

If you are targeting someone protected from kills that Night, your ability will fail.

Pure

any action you attempt on someone who performed a killing action (successful or not) will fail

Munchausen's: Every single night it is as though a kill attempt was performed on you. Protective abilities will protect you from death and work as normal (a bodyguard would perish, etc)

If you are not targeted by another player, your action will fail.

Introverted

If you are targeted by another player, your action will fail

Isn't that the same as PGO?

Doesn't PGO passively attack those who target it? That would be a modifier to an action that causes you to attack your action target if anyone targets you

Redirects your action to anyone who targets you? Or copies it? What if multiple players target you?

It works like a babysitter -- except you can be any role besides doctor and you can be targetted by any action, not just killing ones

So if a high-strung follower targets Player A, and Player B rolecops the follower, the follower will attack Player A

there's no additional action, it just changes what you do, lemme write it better

If im following right, basically a role that has an additional vig role that only is enabled if they are targeted at night. Like "High-Strung Tracker" always functions as a tracker, but if they are targeted functions as a Vig and Tracker for the night.

I like keeping the track/whatever previous ability and adding the kill onto it better than replacing the previous ability actually yeah. I think I have it worded right now

Soupable

If an opposing faction guess correctly you hold the role, you die and your action is not processed. If the opposing faction guesses incorrectly the person guessing dies.

Eg a soupable tracker strongly hints they are a tracker or screams I am tracker in thread.
Scum wager a goon that soupable tracker is the soupable tracker. Tracker dies doesn’t track.
If scum make a typo and say soupable tracker is soupable watcher, goon dies.

Meant for open/semiopen setups but could have some purpose in closed.
