Eventually I’ll do something with this.

We’re going to go through the first 10,000 Grand Idea roles, page-by-page, and pick the best one for each page through debates and democracy. Once those roles are collected together, that will make a brand new deck of only “Good” Grand Idea roles.

the democratic process

Someone/me/whoever runs the thread posts the next sequential page of the GIdea thread and discussions ensue for a bit.

Someone/me/whoever runs the thread then reposts that page but with "bad", "vetoed", or otherwise unacceptable roles removed. Anyone may then vote on their favorites. We'll use approval voting (indicate any number of roles you like) and the highest vote getter gets put in. Rinse, repeat.

clauses which are exceptions to the above rules

1. External Pull rolecards (which require pulls from other decks) are automatically vetoed. This is a self-contained deck.
2. Anything that refers to Grand Idea when it is put into this deck instead is changed to refer to Grand Idea Greatest Hits.

As a preliminary I would like to suggest we add exactly 1 Vanilla Townie, 1 Mafia Goon, and Softban Town Rolecop abilities (so we don't have the issue of a role only appearing in 1 alignment)

I think the best system would be to nominate roles that are interesting/fun and then narrow down the roles from there via democracy.

Condemner Treestump

to me - Condemner is what the "win if target player is eliminated" 3P is named to me (though the name is prescribed and not described) and Treestump is defined that way in Great Idea Mafia

as for my thoughts:

1-shot RNG Cop can randomly be useless
Nymphomaniac really needs a different name but it's still named that in Great Idea
Adder only divides by 2 if the result exceeds the maximum - therefore it tends toward high number roles
Double Roler is kinda stronge
Survivor Compulsive Bodyguard should probably be on Worst Role Ideas
Jester Diplomat is a blacklisted alignment/role combo

I am tempted to vote 0 just for the meme but 4 or 8 would be good actual choices.

Condemner Treestump looks like a way out for the Condemner to survive until the target can be eliminated if under suspicion or threat of death. If the Condemner is publicly flipped then we have someone who is supposed to post but is pretty much someone who doesn't want to post. If not, then it is an unreasonably powerful version of Condemner.
Either way, a no to that.
The dayvig is an IC which sounds good at the moment until you realize that it could be used Day 1 on a person who didn't post yet. Especially because the one is conftown. And if there is one really unfun part of a game then it is being already dead Day 1 when you wake up from sleep.
So, a no to that, too.
The rest isn't great either, so I'd say we pick one of the Vanilla Townies, because a good game needs some.
My pick is 1, Vanilla Townie.

Vanilla Townies are nice to have at least one, That'd be my personal choice.
Of the actual roles with an effect the most interesting one to play is probably Nymphomaniac.

Either 19 (Vanilla Townie "You're Boring"), 7 (Mafia 1-Shot RNG Cop), or 3 (Condemner Treestump) are my picks.

Objecting to Mafia Rng cop because it's effectively a N1 informed Goon but a lot of the time the info you get is useless.
It isn't as fun or useful as a lot of potential scum roles and using a slot for it is :/

Town Innocent One-Shot Dayvig is kinda a stronggood role, treestump is interesting and the alignment makes it spicy

and nympho is -ve utility and has a needlessly inappropriate name

I think Martyr is an interesting one. Deciding when and how would be most advantageous to attempt death, or if you should just play as VT has potential for some fun shenanigans

It is not a role that triggers when killed at night, that would be better, but this.. no.
And to clarify: The role says that it only triggers on eliminations(it actually uses the L-word); so Cook's description is incorrect.
