Although there are some very stubborn players here, it is by no means everyone. Heck, I don't even think it is a majority, but I could be wrong about that.In post 24, rapidcanyon wrote:Also, on mafiascum, persuasive ability plays little role and everyone is stubborn as hell. Just an observation.
Also, in your post #23, I agree with the first paragraph, but definitely disagree with the second paragraph. I analyze case walls, if they aren't just wordspam. I tend to use walls as a catchup sometimes, and maybe as cases occasionally, and have done so effectively. Maybe you have been playing with the wrong playerlists? Or maybe you aren't using the right arguments.Last edited by nhammen on Sat Sep 29, 2012 3:54 pm, edited 2 times in total.- Siveure DtTrikyp

Join me on my quest to play every NES game! Some of them are awful.
Kuribo's read is foolproof: one night he was high on NyQuil, and he's ancestors reveiled Aureal's alignment to him. - Dessew- RedCoyote

If people are stubborn, isn't being persuasive all the more important?

The most important skill in any competitive game is to simultaneously be passionate about playing while understanding that the game isn't important.
The mental strain you put yourself under is like tension on a rubber band. If you're too divorced from the game mentally (boredom, apathy) you won't give your best. That rubber band is too loose to do its job. If you're too into the game (stress, ego, need for control, terrified of losing) then you're more prone to lashing out or making hasty/rash decisions. The rubber band gets too tight and snaps.Copyright © MafiaScum. All rights reserved.
