Game Flow
- Assuming you don't lynch or anything first, a day phase will last at least two weeks. After that, I'll set a shorter deadline, randomly rolled between 24 and 160 hours. You won't be told when this deadline hits, but the game will go to night when it does.There will not be a lynch if the game goes to night due to this deadline--someone has to consciously place a hammer vote.
- You may choose to go to night without a lynch before then, by having at least half of the players vote: No Lynch.(That's half, not a full majority.)
- Votes should be posted in the format 'vote: Lady Marmalade.' I expect them to be entirely bold, but don't try to exploit this to trick someone. I'll count what I damn well want to count. I will register misspellings and nicknames if I can figure out who you're referring to. You do not have tounvote, but you're welcome to do so anyway.
- When a player has the majority of the votes at a single point the game goes to twilight. Don’t post in twilight please. You cannot undo a hammer.
- Night deadlines are 72 hours long from when I close the thread. I will not announce day sooner, even if all choices are in. I will not prod at night.
- With that, the game will go on without you. Don’t blame me for missing your action.
- If any anti-town faction with unlimited shots misses a chance to kill, I'll randomize the kill and PM living members of the faction to tell them that this is what happened. (They can randomly nightkill themselves.) I will only do this for the scum nightkill and compulsory roles. Any other abilities will simply go unused.
What Is and Is Not Allowed
- Mafia daytalking is allowed. This game was designed with that mechanic, so it will be upheld.NOT
- You may rant to both dead players and nonplaying friends, although you're encouraged to first make sure that said friends aren't interested in replacing in with you. (I am of course available, sympathetic and discreet.) Regardless of where you found them, I would very much prefer if I knew who as well.rantbuddies may not reveal their own opinions on the game.
- "Dead" means "dead." Don't post a "Bah," don't AIM/PM the guy who hammered you to tell him what a scumbag he is, and definitely don't keep making game-relevant posts. Just lie there...and think dead thoughts. See above about being ranted to. (It’s bold and underlined and big. It means it’s important.)
- DO NOT QUOTE ME. You do, You die. (yes that means any and every PM/IM/any other form of communication from you to me and vice versa. Seeing as how this is an open game and the roles are rightthere in the thread, and you can’t be killed from quoting them.)
- On that note, if you try to encourage another player to break the above rule, I will fucking modkill you where you stand. Don't push me.
- Refrain from using color. ooc tags are mine. Do. Not. Use. It. Damnit.
- The smallest font size you can use is size 8. Don't use a font color with the intent of making it more difficult to see, either.
What to Expect From Me
- Do try to be active, and leave a notification in-thread and/or by PM if that's not possible. I will automatically prod anyone who has not posted over 72 hours--and that's pretty lenient; you are expected to post more than once every three days. If asked, I will disclose the status of any prod.
- If you don't post in-thread in response to a prod within 24 hours, I will seek a replacement to take over your role. I may seek replacement for a player who lurks consistently without breaking this rule, but you'll have some sort of warning first.
- I'll try to post one votecount per page, as close to the top as possible. If I make errors, please correct me. If I’m slacking please feel free to yell at me.
- This rule set is a guideline, piss me off, however, I will enforce it. I reserve the right to change it at will, and even in extreme circumstances enforce it retroactively. If a strategy feels shady to you, you might want to take it up with me first.
Misc.
- Play to win, but do try to have fun while you're at it.
Notes about the game:
- Each doctor protects against a single NK, and can not self-protect.
- Mafia doctor can also perform the mafia's NK and can not self-protect.
- The SK is NK immune
- "Compulsive" means that the Vigs and SK must submit a kill each night, and failure to submit a kill results in them targeting a random player, possibly resulting in them killing themselves (the SK is not immune to his own NK)
Roles
2 Mafia Goons:
You are a Mafia Goon with XXXXXXXX and Mafia doc XXXXXY. You may talk with your partner at night using Quicktopics. Have one person from the group PM me the name of the player on behalf of the mafia. The named player will be killed. You win when at least half of the living players are mafia, or when nothing can prevent the same.
1 Mafia Doctor
You are a Mafia Doctor. You are partners with mafia goons X and Z. Each night, you may choose to use your doctor powers and PM me the name of another player. That player will be protected from a single kill effect that night. You may not protect yourself. You may talk with your partners at night and only at night. Each night you as a group choose to submit a kill. Have one person from the group PM me the name of the player you wish to kill on behalf of the group. The named player will be killed. If you so choose you may submit both the kill and the protect. You win when at least half of the living players are mafia, or when nothing can prevent the same.
6 Doctors
Doctor
You are a Doctor. Each night, you may PM me the name of another player. That player will be protected from a single kill effect that night. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
2 Compulsive Vigs
You are a compulsive Vig. Each night you must PM me the name of another player. That player will be killed. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
1 Compulsive SK
You are a complusive serial killer. You are immune from NK. Each night you must PM me the name of another player. That player will be killed. You will if you are the last man standing.
