There's that and then there's the fact that mafia can only beat wolves by lynching them because a wolf will never be the NK. Both scum teams need to get the other lynched. It just comes down to whether or not they are smart enough to do that.

I'm looking at the win conditions and they are complicated but I'm pretty sure mafia needs dead wolves.

A hypothetical 3:2 with all town dead doesn't satisfy either condition. Mafia's three names for the NK are their own. One dies. 2:2 satisfies the wolves' win condition.

Am I seeing this wrong?

If the Mafia and Wolves ever make up equal numbers, with no Town roles left alive, then Mafia win. Mafia also win if a day phase begins with one Mafia, one Wolf, and one Town.

I think the question was, what if the game reaches 0 town, 3 mafia, 2 wolves. In that case mafia win -- in fact 0-3-2 can't be reached because mafia wins even earlier at 1 town, 3 mafia, 2 wolves.

I understand the concept that was being pushed by discussion, that wolves need to see mafia deaths to win, but my earlier point still remains.
Both teams need to eliminate quite a few town to win, and this early they will care more about not lynching in their team than they will care about whether the lynch is other team or town.

As for town, we need to lynch scum, and while both teams still have at least 2 members it doesn't really matter which we lynch.

Dunn does one liners 89% of the time (town)
Shiqf lurks/does nothing (scum)
BTD does long posts with good info, few posts (town)
David does his NKA which i don't get (town i guess)
GE acts more like a IC than a player, only the last couple posts (town maybe)
Hiraki not enough yet, waiting for my gut (null)
KMD is weird, i actually haven't looked at it(?) at all for some reason, just ignored it(?) (null atm)
