Spoiler: Special Mechanics
Game Mechanics:
- Setup uses Daystart.
- If Serial Killer appears, they choose between Investigation Immunity AND 1-Shot Bulletproof or Ninja AND Strongman kills as their extra ability. They choose this pre-game.
- All investigative roles are guaranteed to be sane.
- Kills are indistinguishable, do not use varying flavor for Mafia, Vigilante, Serial Killer or Paranoid Gun Owner night kills.
- Innocent Child is revealed at start of D1 by the mod.
- All protective roles prevent only one night kill.
- Mafia Roleblocker may not kill AND preform the factional kill in the same night.
- Mafia Roleblocker also has priority over Town Jailkeeper, Town Roleblocker, or Town Rolestopper.
- All bulletproof roles, (godfather, serial killer if they take BP), are informed if they are attacked.
- Players are not informed if they are bus-driven, nor if their targets are switched.

Role Mechanics:
- Cops receive results as "Town/Not Town/No Result."
- Trackers receive results as "Your target visited (name) last night!/Your target did not visit anyone last night!/No Result."
- Neapolitans receive results as "Vanilla Townie/Not Vanilla Townie/No Result."
- Gunsmiths receive results as "Your target has a gun!/Your target does not have a gun!/No Result."

- Godfather appears Innocent only to Cops.
- A Godfather will appear "Town" to a Cop
- A Godfather will appear as normal to Trackers, Neapolitans, and Gunsmiths.
- Millers, (and framed players), always appear guilty to all investigative roles.
- A Miller/Framed Player will always appear to be "Not Town" to a Cop.
- A Miller/Framed Player will always appear to have visited a player who was nightkilled to a Tracker.
- A Miller/Framed Player will always appear to not be a Vanilla Townie to a Neapolitan.
- A Miller/Framed Player will always appear to have a gun to a Gunsmith.
- Players who have a tailor forge an Innocent result on them will always appear innocent to all investigative roles.
- An Innocently Tailored Player will always appear to be "Town" to a Cop.
- An Innocently Tailored Player will always appear to not have visited any player to a Tracker.
- An Innocently Tailored Player will always appear to be a Vanilla Townie to a Neapolitan.
- An Innocently Tailored Player will always appear to not have a gun to a Gunsmith.
- Serial Killers appear Innocent to Gunsmiths, and situationally appear Innocent to Cops or Trackers.
- If the Serial Killer took Investigation Immunity, they will appear to be Town to Cops, but not Trackers.
- If the Serial Killer took Ninja and Strongman kills, they will appear to not visit, however, they will appear as "Not Town" to a Cop.

- The night a Paranoid Gun Owner goes on alert, they are rendered Bulletproof. A strongman will still kill the PGO regardless of the PGO going on alert.

Stolen from my old rules, which I forgot if I stole borrowed without permission from anyone...


General Rules/Game Etiquette
  1. Obey all site-wide rules. This much should be obvious by now, I'm obligated to say it though, so I will.
  2. Talking outside of the thread about this game, unless you have explicit permission from me or the worst is forbidden. This is another rule that we should all be familiar with by now.
  3. Likewise, quoting your role PM or any private chats in thread is also not allowed. Just paraphrase them. Literally not that hard.
    You may directly quote your role PM in any PTs you have access to however.
  4. Flavor is merely flavor. It does not confirm nor deny the existence of any roles within the game and merely exists because I wanted it to. You can read/play the game and fully understand it without reading a single bit of the flavor, but you'd probably enjoy the game more if you actually read it.
  5. Follow the golden rule, (do unto others as you would have them do unto you), at all times. I understand mafia can get heated, but keep it civil.
  6. If you can somehow edit/delete your posts, don't. If I find out you did, then I'll have to figure out exactly what I do next, and it'll probably result in a reroll.
  7. Play towards your win-condition at all times. Don't gamethrow.

Activity/Prods and V/LA
  1. At least once every 48 hours, you must post relevant, game-advancing content, otherwise you will be prodded.
  2. If you actually post literally once every 48 hours, I reserve the right to change your prod-timer to be 24hrs.
  3. If you accumulate three prods OR you do not reply within 24hrs of the prod, you will be replaced.
  4. Two prodges will count under one single prod. Any prodge above will result in a prod.
  5. If you are V/LA, prods will come every 72 hours.
  6. All V/LAs must be declared in thread, and nowhere else. Alternatively, you may use the V/LA tags on the forum to signify your V/LA, but I'd really prefer if you just posted it in thread.
  7. If you will have an excessively long V/LA or will not have regular access to the internet/forums, please request replacement instead.

Deadlines/Player Actions
  1. Unless told otherwise, each day will last two weeks, and each night will last two days.
  2. If the day/night is extended for any reason, I will post that in thread.
  3. If you possess any actions, you must submit it to both me and the worst before deadline otherwise it will be treated as if you took no action.

Voting
  1. A simple majority is required to lynch, (half the player list, rounded down, plus one), while no lynch requires exactly half the player list.
  2. If you are using an abbreviation of a player's name, please make sure we can understand who you are referring to. If we can't, it doesn't count.
  3. If it looks like a vote as well, it is a vote.
  4. Unvoting isn't required, but appreciated.
  5. There is no plurality, and if you don't lynch someone by deadline, nobody gets lynched.

Miscellaneous Rules
  1. Twilight lasts until the thread is locked, and the player's role is posted.
  2. You aren't dead until you are told you are dead, and your role has been posted.
  3. When you are dead, you are allowed to make one contentless Bah! post.
  4. Do not use the following colors: #006769, which me and the worst will use for modding, and #ff9896, which I will use for flavor.
  5. Follow the spirit of the rules.

Start of Game Flavor"Would you like to hear a story?" a voice suddenly called out to you in a soft tone. Blinking several times, you began looking around the grandiose library, trying to figure out who said it, and from where. After a few seconds, your gaze finally settled on the two figures sitting by the roaring fireplace. You could almost swear that one looked like a dog, and the other looked like a duck as you walked over to them.

Briefly hesitating, you finally nod. The first figure—the one who looked like a dog—smiled before continuing on with "Come now, young one. Sit by us, and let me tell you a story; a story of a town the mafia once invaded." You tilted your head in confusion. You had heard this type of story a million of times, so what made this one so special?

Before you could ask, however, the figure laughed. "I can tell you're confused, but I can assure you, you most certainly have not heard this story before. This is the story of a town where nobody—not even the mafia themselves—knew what anyone else was truly capable of. All anyone had had known the day the mafia arrived was a single fragment of knowledge; one tiny clue as to what was possible, but no real way to prove any of it. Coupled with the rumors that a deranged psychopath, hellbent on killing all standing before them, had escaped a nearby mental hospital and was now residing in the town, I can assure you, you have not heard this one before. Now, let me let the stage for you, young one. Let me set the stage of the day the mafia began their plan. I wish I could tell you that it was a dark and stormy night when it happened, however, I'd be a liar if I said otherwise. Both of us can attest to that fact. It was just barely dawn when the mafia made themselves known..."

Silently stepping out into the cobblestone streets, the lone mafioso quickly glanced around the circular village. Nobody, save themselves, was wandering around the village this early into the day. They silently smirked to themselves, hurriedly running across the town-square, past the gallows-tree towards the mayor's house, jerrycan in hand. Throwing the can into the bushes, the mafioso knocked on the door twice before awkwardly fidgeting with their silenced pistol hidden behind them, running through their plan once again. They would kill the mayor, hang his body from the gallows-tree, then set the house on fire.

The mafioso tried to suppress their smirk as the mayor, Vex Vience, opened the door and greeted the,. "May I inquire who you are, and why you're outside my house at such an ungodly hour?" he drowsily asked, rubbing at his eyes.

"Do you mind if I step inside and tell you? I'm from the next town over, and it's related to... that problem you brought up a few weeks ago," the mafioso lied, feigning the most sincere voice they could manage. They stared directly into the mayor's eyes with a pleading expression, vainly hoping that he'd buy their act and that they had been given the correct information.

Instantly, Vex's face lit up as his eyes opened wide, a grin spreading across his face. "Yes, yes! Please do! I was wondering when I'd finally hear back about it! I've been concerned about the mafia for a while, and I was wondering what your town and your mayor had done to deal with it!" he happily remarked, stepping to the side as he waved the mafioso inside.

Laughing to themselves, the mafioso quickly pulled out their pistol and cocked it, aiming it at the mayor's stomach. A silenced bang echoed through the air as Vex groaned, frozen in place. He slumped against the wall, pressing both of his hands against the bullet hole as he fearfully stared into the mafioso's eyes. Cocking the gun once more, the mafioso silently whispered "The mob sends its regards Mr. Vience," before another silenced bang rang through the air. Hiding the gun once again, the mafioso peeked their head outside, ensuring that nobody had seen nor heard what had happened.

Once again, nobody, save the mafioso was wandering around this early into the day. Smiling to themselves, the mafioso walked over to Vex's lifeless corpse and quickly hoisted it over their shoulder before turning around and jogging towards the gallows-tree. With one hand, the mafioso grabbed the noose and slipped it around the mayor's neck as he let the body limply fall off their shoulder. The line went taut as the body fell, only to freely hang as the mafioso kicked out the nearby stool before leaving a blood-red rose at Vex's feet.

Running back to the mayor's house, they loudly fidgeted through the bushes, trying to find their jerrycan. Seconds later, they finally walked back inside, liberally dousing everything inside, the noxious scent of gasoline filling the air as they slowly snaked their way back outside, a faint trail of gasoline following them as they went. As the last bit of gasoline fell out of the can, they casually lobbed the empty canister inside before rummaging through their pockets. Producing a small matchbook, they stuck one of the matches, the acrid scent of burning sulfur filling the air as their eyes lit up, a wicked grin spreading from ear-to-ear. "Ignite," they softly muttered to themselves as they dropped the match.

Instantly, the trail caught as a roaring flame quickly rushed its way into the house, engulfing it in a fiery inferno as the mafioso ran away from their handiwork. As the flames grew louder and brighter, one-by-one, fifteen people—mafioso included—stepped out of their house and gathered around the gallows-tree to fearfully watch as their beloved mayor's house burn down before fearful gasps and whispers of panic started spreading as people took notice of the mayor's body limply hanging from the gallows.

It was only when Korina, one of the town's governors, finally stepped forth and raised his hand, did the crowd finally settle down. "I'm not here to state the obvious; we can all tell what has happened. Unfortunately, neither of us know who did it. We both wish we could tell you who did, however, we simply can't. We can tell you however, with absolute certainty one person who could not have done it," he began before pointing at Skellen. "Skellen has been with me and the worst since sundown, and we can confirm that they could not have done it. With that out of the way, me and the worst are afraid we must take on the role as executioner here. Discuss amongst yourselves who should be lynched, and we will take care of the rest. We have until sundown, and may God have mercy on all of us."
