Game Rules

General Rules/Game Etiquette
Obey all Site-wide Rules.
Communication outside the thread (if your role specifically allows it) is allowed until the game begins.
You may not quote private communication of any kind. This includes moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it.

Activity/Prods/Replacements
Prods of missing players will be issued after 48 hours of no activity.
A prodded player has 24 hours to respond to the prod, after which time a replacement search will begin. The prodded player may re-enter the game so long as no replacement has been found.
A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to possible replacement without further notice.
If you anticipate being unavailable for more than 30 hours please PM me or post in the thread to declare V/LA.
I reserve the right to force replace players who need extensively long V/LA at my own discretion.
In the light of the current rules for replacements, any requests to replace out are to be made via PM. I will consider the replace out permanent as soon as I have posted in the thread that I am searching for a replacement, do not repost in the thread after this point until you have my explicit permission.
If you have been force replaced for any reason, this is final, I may consider a request to stay in after you have requested a replace out via PM and I have posted in the thread, but if I have removed you for inactivity or for not following a rule, I will not consider putting you back into the slot.

Deadlines

Deadlines for this game will be 10 days for each Day Phase. Night Phases will last a maximum of 48 hours.
Players may request an early end to the Night Phase by PM'ing me. Night will be cut short if all players request it.
Extensions are given only in extreme circumstances.
If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline you will forfeit your actions.
Mafia and werewolves do have Day Chat, Masons and Monks do not.

Player Actions/Voting/Player Death
A simple majority of all living players must agree on one person (via voting) for an Elimination to occur (simple majority = ½ # of living players +1, rounded down). If no one has a simple majority of votes at deadline a No Eliminatuib will occur.
Votes must be bolded or use the [.vote] tags to be counted (e.g.
Vote: Player
or VOTE: Player).
Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes.
You may Vote: No Elimination - a simple majority of these vote types are required to send the game to Night phase without a Lynch.
Votes made using nicknames or abbreviations will be counted at my discretion. Fake vote gambits should be executed at your own peril. If I think its a vote, then its a vote.
I will not count votes that I perceive as based on the avatar of a user.

Miscellaneous

I will use
Bolded Violet
(#8000BF) for Mod posts. Don't impersonate me. No invisible/small/encrypted text is allowed.
Any situation not explicitly covered above is subject to my discretion and will be handled as I see fit on a case-by-case basis.
I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.

Undead have been informed of their role as undead, how many points they have and the roles which Town has in the setup, there will be 24 hours for them to decide on their roles.

The town roles are being sent momentarily.

Please note, there was an error where I believed I sent a Witch hunter PM to people who did not have that role. While I cannot confirm nor deny the presence of a Witch Hunter in this set up, I have corrected the issue. I do not expect this will break the game, and, as the town knows there will be at minimum, 2 PRs and the undead know what PRs are present for town, but not how many, I believe this error was harmless.

I apologize for any confusion, if there is any question as to your role, itself, you may PM me.

I am also sending this to all players via PM.

so the mafia has a strongman, rolecop, and roleblocker. since scum already knows what town has, is it worth it for town to speculate about what roles town has? it cant hurt right?

I was wondering about this. I actually didn't read the setup that closely so I didn't realize that we learn what the scum chose. Do we know the number of points? I'm going to look at that.

The only thing to wonder about is, because scum knows the roles, any town member who seems to know too much about the setup could get found out.

Also I am super hyped for this game, I think it will be a lot of fun.

Doesn't help either. What it does do is give scum an idea of who's what based on what people speculate. Let's not.

If I am reading the setup rules correctly town has 8 points worth of PR's but that doesn't tell us how many total because that could change based on how the points were divided up.

There are some benefits like hypoing about how certain roles should be used, but scum can interfere with those discussions so probably not that much benefit.

I guess instead of discussing it I could just run some simulations based on the selection procedure to objectively determine the most likely setups. But I'm not going to do that unless I live until later in the game and it's actually relevant.

Valid. I recommend power roles read the wiki pages about their roles for advice on how to use them, generally speaking.

Almost certainly

If you want my self meta about my scum game I am happy to provide it, but I am usually hesitant to because it is really wifomy and people are then unable to form their own unbiased conclusions.
