I have been an IC in the newbie queue, played a variety of games onsite (30+), and have offsite experience. Left the offsite one though because one player ruined it by being extremely unprofessional.

Yes I know what rvs is . I dont do rvs anymore, i personally jump straight to business like james doakes and penguinpower do.

I only know that I have a 100% accuracy on reading ruru, in games I've been with and without her. In fact, the game I was scum with her I replaced in a slot assuming that ruru was one of the scums, but not knowing that I was replacing in to be her partner. It's not about meta itself, since I haven't seen scum!ruru since that game, but for me, overconfident ruru = town ruru

I've seen people say they have 100% accuracy in reading someone but that's usually ends up not being the case..
I saw a completed open game of her town play with alonzo, performer, skitter, korina. That game there of hers didn't strike me as "overconfident"....

I guess that's a fair point. When I posted that warning, I did think it was a justifiable statement from town perspective, which THE MEME MEN may not. It does seem this situation is somewhat different indeed.

It does seem at least clear that THE MEME MEN did not think their statement through even if he were town. Their revised answers answer questions in a way that conflicts with his warning to be careful with voting. (Amusingly THE MEME MEN have been trying to dodge admitting they were wrong to the best extent they can, and then they suddenly fold when I accuse them of being scum?)

Reconsidering with this perspective, why would THE MEME MEN make the post at all? Was he (1) a misguided townie trying to be helpful who ended up making a not well thought-through statement, (2) a mafioso making a not well thought-through statement motivated by his desire to reap towncred by warning the town about a perceived danger, or (3) a mafioso intentionally giving townish-looking advice that he knows doesn't help town?

Looking at it this way, situation (1) seems a bit more plausible than I had initially considered, though (2) sounds very plausible as well. I do believe their subsequent handling of the situation indicates they're scum.

You're right, I had an illogical reaction to someone saying that in response to a fos on them they would gamethrow, by their own account.

I guess I'm too used to RC bullying threads and I really had no interest in him doing his usual schitck of "everyone who scumreads me has a bias against me."

My response comes off as thoughtless but I was pretty sick of his martyr narrative before this game even began. He does it every. single. game.

I can just left left head take over and do a de facto replace out though if this thread is just going to let RC manipulate them and let him get away with obnoxious AtE.
