This is scum theatre.
And CSF and Hectic are scum buddies.

pink ball's probably scum, hectic and csf probably town
it's two levels removed from even playing the game
just joking around, and worse, not even original so it's not even possible to maybe read them by tone-

timezones, people's irl schedules etc.
the amount of times people bring up stuff like this and call it scummy is nowhere near the amount of times scum actually do this-

it's the wording that most accurately describes itIn post 199, Pink Ball wrote:Generally entirely wrong seems like an hyperbole just to prove a point without backup
But what do you think about the first pop up, rb? I know I shouldn't be looking at the join date to get a read, but damn it's too tempting
people generally post according to their irl schedule, not to their alignment. the idea that they do the latter is most of the time entirely wrong.
so it is generally speaking, entirely wrong.
specific players who may have a meta tell of activity (which is actually fairly few) do exist but ime the idea that "they posted when i mentioned them!!!" is just confirmation bias or more likely to be scum than the person being accused.
who knows, maybe clidd is scum, but those posts themselves are not scummy posts-

'Cause saying I have no content, while the gamestate is not content full at all, is just plain stupid. Whats your content other than "calling me out" and antagonizing me? Whats rooroo's content? Whats clidd's content (before I pushed him)?
You just have something on with me, and the worst of it is that you are wrong.
you don't need an entire game full of content to find a particular player's lack of content scummy. this is the kind of thinking that leads to people thinking relatively about their reads, instead of focusing on who has actually played in a way that is most reminiscent of scum. people are inactive for all different reasons, what's scummy is that you are appearing to be active, are attempting to play the game and in neither case are you really doing much that isn't super easy to do as scum-

Pink Ball's early game posting style, while annoying to read, is probably NAI. However, I didn't love their clidd vote and liked their unvote even less.
TSH I was null on until like pg 12 when they got super defensive over Amrun's vote. The whole 'not liking posts' vs 'scummy posts' is dumb too, since not liking someone's post sort of implies that you're leaning scum there, which is a good reason to vote someone IMO andhe's using it as an excuse not to vote anyone.

this is a very wordy way of saying what i also think, yesIn post 328, clidd wrote:
I would understand if your read involved the numerical fact of my posts, considering my low participation. However, this assimilation of a reactive point that, supposedly, classifies me as a potential scum for posting in a certain period of time, disregarding external factors, is quite strange and far from being consistent with a reflective intention, as you seem to believe. In others words, it would be clearer if your pseudo-pressure were carried out in a clearer way, without being overshadowed by the suggestive bias I felt coming from the vague explanation accompanied by your vote.In post 272, Pink Ball wrote:

i was disagreeing that clidd 'popping in' is a good reason to scumread someone. it's not. scumreads on people for stuff like this happens all the time, and it's nearly always from scum, or town who are wrong. In post 352, Pink Ball wrote:This. You started asking when I was going to start playing the game (like literally your second post so you haven't done anything else than tunnel me), when I started engaging, this was your answer. So not only you have been tunneling me because of a joke that "made sense coming from other two players but not from me", but when I tried to get in the game, you tried to get me out.
No, I'm not playing the game out of pressure, I don't feel pressured at all, 'cause your read on me is fucking atrocious. Do something else instead of being obsessed with me
i mean if i'm obsessed with you for having you as a scumread among other reads i have on others, with me sorting and interacting with a bunch of slots by now then does that mean you're obsessed with clidd? because you don't even have any other stated reads than clidd as scum because he 'popped in' which seems like, not at all a very townie thinking process at this point of the game imo-

if you see 3 people doing a lot of shitposting and out of them there's one who is doing nothing but that, while the other 2 are providing pertinent analysis and showing attempts to actually the game: what's the conclusion you draw from this?In post 379, Pink Ball wrote:
He didn't panic, that's the thing. I didn't even vote clidd, I just called his pop up scummy, and that was enough for rb to jump on me and never let me go. That's the brilliancy of their hatchening, it's subtle, but powerful. But it make sense; rb had to make up an excuse to vote me and try to antagonize me, and they called me out because "out of the three making the same joke, PB hasn't provided anything". Read the first pages again and tell me what fucking sense that actually makes. In post 376, Cat Scratch Fever wrote:I don’t like the rob/clidd team analysis in 363 but I need to chew on it more before I decide if I want to vote there

hectic had obviously thought about the setup and what constitutes optimal early game lynches
his joking is not just joking, but reveals that there's more than a surface-level amount of thought gone into how he's approaching the game
it'd be very hard for scum hectic to do this and keep it up for the duration of a game, and make it seem even remotely authentic. the two competing reads on hectic are that he's absolute galaxy-brained scum or more likely, he's just a town player playing the game and who has thought about the mechanics-
