Me too. I can't find any flaws, really, except I don't know if I totally agree with this:
If there's someone who is blatantly town and someone who acts totally scummy, I wouldn't want lots of the same or similar cop results. Better to do it at random, if you ask me.imaginality wrote:[1]It's possible it could be better if players list an innocent result on someone they think is pro-town, and a guilty on someone they suspect, rather than choosing purely at random. This would make it harder for the mafia to narrow down their suspects based on their behaviour (e.g. someone trying to get their guilty result lynched might be more likely to be cop).-

Yeah, yeah, the case on ksen is weak. But the thing is, everyone already knew that - nobody in their right mind would lynch ksen because of the case presented. You going out of your way to defend something that doesn't need defending is a little suspicious.
And Scorp, nobody's tunneling yet, by the way. We're on page 4.-

Anti-town =/= scum. And right now, I want to lynch scum, not make a policy lynch on an anti-town player. He deserves to live because I think, as of now, he's just a dumb townie. Sucks to keep him around, but like I said, I'd rather lynch scum.Shattered Viewpoint wrote:@Deer: Please enighten me as to how XScorp is being pro-town. Then please tell me how someone not being pro-town deserves to live, and hurt town further. Thanks, ever so.
1. You (Shattered Viewpoint)Who's your top suspect right now? Second suspect?
2. chnorek
Both for hopping aboard the XScorp wagon with weak reasoning. Kunk I'm not as suspicious of, even though he did place the second vote. He has a townie feel from me.
unvote, vote: Shattered-

That's the second time you've done something like this. You wanna stop wagoning on easy targets and actually try and contribute something to the game? I fully am with Ythan here.Shattered Viewpoint wrote:It is not a "stupid wagon vote." It's a legitimate vote as he's legitimately scum.-

Holy hell, Shattered. Do you ever not bandwagon?
This doesn't even make sense. How do you punish someone without lynching them? Bandwagoning? If it's just anti-town play, rather than scummy play, like how I think Scorpion's playing, what do you do?Shattered Viewpoint wrote:No, but bad play can (and should be) punished, as it's inherently anti-town. (Not to say that anti-town activity should be given more weight than scummy activity. No, quite the opposite.)
Do you find that scummy? Are you calling out a scumteam? What does this mean?Miyu wrote: Nice switch there imaginality.-

2. you are calling me scum but voting for different reason?

What about the whole random.org deal? I thought the non-cops were supposed to use that. I don't think speculation on who was hypocopped/who wasn't is going to get us anywhere if that was the case.XScorpion wrote:Chronopie and Deer didn't have wagons yesterday. You did. Chnorek got a lot of scum hypocops, which given his wagon yesterday, doesn't seem coincidental. Yet you, the second leading bandwagon (Ignoring Mavs), didn't get a single hypocop. I'm not sure exactly what to make of the results...
Protecting who? Chrono and Deer? Because they totally need protecting right now </sarcasm>
That being said, I still think SV/Chnorek are scumbuddies just based on their play. As for the other...it's yet to be determined.-

I somewhat resent that accusation of a "floater." My posts are generally fairly short, but I've been posting a reasonable amount, I thought.
@Miyu: Of course I don't deny that SV was under pressure yesterday, but after the whole mavs deal, we needed to get this game back on track. By more pressure I want him to come in and defend his scummy play from the day before and see if he can prove to me that he's town. I'm okay with a chnorek lynch today, too, but I want to see what SV has to say.-

The difference between toDay and yesterDay is that yesterDay, mavs claimed scum even though he was a cop. I think more pressure on SV will magically get him lynched, which is what I want. I've come to the realization that he won't defend his scumminess from yesterday, but whatever. We did not have a conversation about strategy during the Night.Miyu wrote:Deer. What is different between toDay and yesterDay. Why do you think that pressure on SV toDay will magically make him explain his actions? He didn't do it yesterDay, so why would you expect him to do it toDay? Did the two of you have a conversation about strategy during the Night?
The hypothesis that Ythan was killed because he "picked out scum" is WIFOMy. And if you are scum, then I think chnorek is your partner, and from there I'm a little fuzzy. Possibly chrono, possibly nopoint or kunk. It's not XScorp, IMO. That wall-o'-text and your guys's back-and-forth doesn't cry out "scumbuddies" to me.SV wrote: What, exactly, is WIFOMy? XScorp's vote, or the hypothesis that Ythan was killed because he "picked out scum"? Also, what do you expect to accomplish by adding more pressure? (I might add, putting me at L-4 is hardly pressure, but I digress.) Also also, if I am scum (which I'm not) who do you think my partners might be? (Yes, I'm asking for conjecture.)-

Whoa. I started to make a post to defend SV, but I really remembered this wrong.
This quote (from SV) is blatantly wrong.Shattered Viewpoint wrote:
The first quote (which you quotekunkstar7 wrote:Shattered Viewpoint wrote:EBWOP: It's not even a frakkingpressure vote.I'm not voting right now. It's, whaddyacall, a pressure intention-vote.
Say what? Backpedal harder scum.Shattered Viewpoint wrote:Pressure for lurking. (Mine, at least.)out of context)was after I voted peanutman. The second quote (againout of context)was talking about imaginality.
Here's what happened:
1. SV votes peanutman. I ask him "what?"
2. SV says this:
3. More stuff happens. SV says he wants to vote imaginality for lurking. People get mad at him. He says this after talking about imaginality's lurking:Shattered Viewpoint wrote:Pressure for lurking. (Mine, at least.)
Shattered Viewpoint wrote:EBWOP: It's not even a frakkingpressure vote.I'm not voting right now. It's, whaddyacall, a pressure intention-vote.
So, either he got the order of the quotes wrong (possible, I guess) or he just lied.
Anyways, I did this while reading SV in ISO, which confirmed my original read on him. He's scum.-

There's two explanations for what GroupThink just did:
1. He's a cop and got a guilty on Imaginality last night. If this is the case, keep in mind the tailoring factor.
2. He's just bad town.
I don't want to lynch imaginality today, though. I much, much prefer a chnorek/SV lynch. GT, why are you so tunneled on him?-

I see what you mean. The only reason I said that is basically because, in a newbie game I played a while back, Cop Ellibereth pulled a similar move ("I want to lynch this guy and you guys can lynch me tomorrow if he's town"). The player was indeed scum - Elli didn't have a guilty but kind of just PoE'd it.kunkstar7 wrote: Although I think the rolefishing still applies, I don't see why you are singling him out as a cop. So FoS is still there, because it also is showing to me that you are ready to cast doubt onto any claimed results.
I also just felt that a VT wouldn't be that confident unless he's, well, bad town. Which GT has also shown himself to be, so that could possibly be the explanation.-

Alright I'm here. Finals week, it's been busy. After tomorrow, it will be better, no more school yay
unvote
So it's either XS/nopoint or Chrono/GT. While nopoint is scummy, I've always had a town read on XS. Chrono and GT...not so much.
So, I'm going tovote: chronopie. I'm trying to wrap my head around how Chrono could be town and I just can't do it. If the scumteam is indeed XS/nopoint, congratulations, you've deserved the win.-
