I think people have laid out some valid concerns with hypocopping in a game where scum have this tailor ability. tbh I didn't even think of the Tailor aspect of the game.Shattered Viewpoint wrote:
So, what do you think about the arguments in this thread that basically counter that?ksen wrote:
Because I read the link about it that was posted and it got generally good reviews.imaginality wrote:@ksen: why are you in favour of hypocop?
FTR, I think it's not such a hot idea in this particular setup.
I think if we do it we should follow Imaginality's suggestion.
However, for today it is a bit of a distraction and we ought to concentrate on hunting scum.-

And at this point nopoint has yet to answer. So please explain how pushing someone to answer a question they've not yet answered is scummy.chnorek wrote:
not when excacly same question has been already asked 1 page ago (post 35). in that case it looks opposite...ksen wrote:
Asking questions is how you look for scum, yes?chnorek wrote:is this what you calling hunting scum?-

Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I only read the first few posts and saw the tone was generally positive.XScorpion wrote:

I see.Adel wrote:and if a paerson posts that they got a guilty on a person the mafia knows is not scum, that person is not the cop. If a person posts that they got an innocent on a mafia player, that person is not the cop. Hypocop greatly assists the scum's process-of-elimination (and I don't mean by nk's) in determining who the cop is.
I guess this is just doomed to failure then.-

I'll be voting to lynch. I absolutely do not like ending a day without a lynch.mavsfan41 wrote:The town has two plans right now, hypocoping and imaginality's random plan. Personally I like imaginality's plan better. Although it will be hard to figure out who the cops are, and it seems this plan will involve a lot of WIFOM, it seems to be a better plan than hypocoping. I want to ask a the town a question in general, I fear the worst case scenario today with lynch of the cop, and I don't really have a specific scum target, I am down with a no lynch today, and during day 2 will go about with imaginality's plan. Since I don't really have a strong scum read on anyone yet, I will probably not be voting unless something really materializes. What's everyone else's plan on ending today? To lynch or not to lynch, that is the question...
Actually town has 3 plans: 1) hypocop_A, 2) hypocop_B, and 3) just play the game without the hypocopping.

I didn't like any of this post.
1) actually advancing the notion of no lynching day 1,
2) pretending to worry about hitting a cop on day 1.-

tbh I didn't read too much of it. I think that was around the time of my VLA and when I got back a lot of posts had been made.kunkstar7 wrote:
I find this a completely baseless accusation.nopointinactingup wrote:Scum do have a tendency to procrastinate.
@ksen: what do you make of Xscorpions's "jester" style of play and the following wagon that built up around it? Any suspects so far?
I can go back and give it a read though.
