The thing is... we're in the game enough where we have one scum dead and (in my mind) a couple of relatively clear townies. We also have some VERY strong association tells from the game mechanic. It doesn't make sense NOT to look for them.

Indeed. I think the reason Katsuki is saying this is because he realises that there's no viable partner for Tony here, and he doesn't want us to think too hard about that.

So essentially right now, we're down to suspect pool of {Korts, Tony, Meatbot, IAUN}, two of which is scum.

Korts is scum so we'll narrow it down to one of {Tony, Meatbot, IAUN}.

For Tony to be scum, it would mean that there'd have to be TWO town misvoting on my wagon. While that is plausible, I simply don't see a counter-wagon being formed on me due to two town.
The only curious thing and what's stopping me from declaring Tony as outright town is the willingness for Korts to go from a Tony-lynch to Katsuki-lynch. Whether this is because it's to save a buddy, or to keep Tony around in exchange for Katsuki-lynch for either later-mislynching or just an overall less HULKSMASH eludes me. For the reasons above I think it's more plausible to say that Korts would rather have a more vocal voice in Katsuki removed and keep a more passive Tony who's been more underwhelming around.

This would leave parsing of one scum amongst {Meatbot, IAUN}. Personally I think IAUN is scum and since it looks like I'm about to be lynched I'll share this gut theory. THIS post reads to me as IAUN telling vijay to quickhammer.

vijay, it really helps if you pay attention to who is saying things.

If you read the entire sequence starting from #165, and apply a bit of strategical scum thinking to it, I could totally see a vijay/IAUN/korts pairing. Sure you guys can dismiss it as a stretch or whatever, but my gut reads strong to this, and I've always been a gut-player rather than giant analytical wallspam poster.


Not to mention that IAUN and Korts are both playing extraordinarily sub-optimally makes it obvious for me at least to see that their scum. When reading good players, if you get caught up on the surface of the things they're saying, they'll always appear town. Look at their motives. Look at how IAUN makes a giant post saying that pretty much every scum pairing must include Korts, yet not bother to push it at all today.

Anyways yeah I've gone and done what I try to abolish from all games in wall-posting but I'm DAMN FUCKING SURE of the scumteam in this game and there is NO WAY IN FUCK that I'm gonna sit around and let you guys fuck this game up especially if I'm getting lynched here for playing by far more pro-town than I usually play.

p.s. As an aside Katsuki-scum never made sense. If I were scum there'd be far more mind-fucking going on rather than me trying to make sense of the mess that is this game eg. NS D1. It's not that hard to go read everything kanye has written about my play thus far this game, and see if what he says makes sense if I were playing from a scum motivation.

p.p.s. If I were to self-meta I'd say that my scum-record in opens is flawless and that I've never died as scum in an open before and you fucks wouldn't be able to come anywhere near catching me had I been scum (plus I would've hammered NS and used it to prove myself as town in some way but I didn't so).

It's a good thing we have a mislynch in hand because if you are assuming kortsscum=tonyscum you're heading for lylo. I'd say "we", but I'll be dead by then.

I dont know what to make of Katsuki's furious reaction. Last time I saw someone react that way they were scum (ongoing game is ongoing) but then, that was a different player, and never having played with Katsuki before I don't feel qualified to judge totally on that basis.

I'm happy to see anyone that isn't Metabot or kanye hang today, I think it's time to come to a consensus. Genuinely, if you think stringing me up to find my alignment will give you useful info I'm happy to go to the gallows, but I'd really rather not waste our mislynch like that. I say it's Korts or Katsuki today.

His behavior on the NS wagon didn't really make sense as scum. Normally you either see scum voting for somoone to get them lynched, or the more tricky ones will either advocate for the lynch without being on it, or advocate AGAINST alternative lynches to get that lynch. Korts though, was giving a conservative opinion on the lynch, but put his vote on it anyway.

You decrease the likelyhood of the wagon going, and you're blamed for the lynch if it goes badly. I don't see the scum motivation in doing this.

This is less of a strong read than my read on tony, but thats find because its very likely Korts is town if Tony is.

Props to the scum team. I was pretty sure kanye was scum after he started pushing my wagon so weirdly, but I had no idea how to call him out without incriminating myself. Metabot, on the other hand, I never once suspected.

And Katsuki, for your information, two games' worth of experience with a player is not a very reliable basis for meta analysis at the best of times, but when one of those games I replaced out of early day 1, and the other was ruined mid-day 1, you really shouldn't assume you know how I play as town.

I suppose, though I wasn't quite going off meta. From your posts in those two games, I got the sense that you were a strong player (plus your reputation around the site). I couldn't find myself to believe that you truly believed half (if not most) of the things you were saying. Main thing though was that your posts very genuine and contained strong scumhunting in those two games, while I didn't get that from you here.
Goes back to what I was saying in that I didn't think you or IAUN really believed the things you guys were saying.
