I really see no point to having a Night any longer EXCEPT that it allows the mod to NOT make the mafia a daytalking faction.

That counterargument won't work. Scum can do stuff that is too obvious and try to hit it off as in 'why would I do that if I was scum' and then they flip scum.

If you are town then helps us out with by apparently doing something like ... reading the thread and posting some thoughts down on who may be scum.

My vote stays where it is.

Oh, shotgun's in this game. Hi!

I didn't tell you what I'd do as scum, but if I did, I'd type up a monologue about the merits for a scum win condition of acting as if you give a damn whether you post today or tomorrow. I would then refer to my extensive meta of games where I was also late to deliver, ended up delivering in a way that got everyone to recognize that I was town, and eventually lost to a scumteam.

I'm confident that there won't be any doubt of my townieness once I put in some effort to this game, so please forgive me for not trying until then. I don't care if you don't.

I do care if I become a distraction from actually legitimate lynch targets, though. But I'll credit that occurrence to malakittens, finger suspiciously at her parrots, and then stop caring until I'm in the mood to start.

This is how I roll. I ain't a part of this system.

More seriously, I promised some other thread my attention when I decided reactance was an appropriate response to any attempt by Kondi to even pretend he can influence my activity.

Okay, I've read the thread. You can ALL start unvoting now.

7 living players,
Crazy is town.
Mala is town.
I am town.

Umbrage isn't to be trusted.

No compelling case has been presented against shotgun, and I'm leaning town on him.

BK is probably town for a few reasons, especially his explicit approval of letting pmyst live for the hell of it.

I want either konowa or kondi dead.

impossible
for town to do that. But either way, I guess it doesn't matter, since everyone else gave up on lynching Umbrage a while ago.

I'm actually feeling this YB thing. His jump onto the PM wagon was more suspicious than PM's jump onto the Umbrage wagon, and recently, PM is coming off as a little newb-townish. I don't think his attitude towards drmyshotgun for voting PM was hypocritical, though I see criticizing him for providing no information with a vote as easy pickings on a player that always seems to play that same way. I'm on Scigatt's side here with the "Vote to Replace" thing, although I'm not sure if I would take it that far at this point. But yeah, it's kind of impossible to get any kind of read either way on drymyshotgun right now.

And yeah, it definitely is worth noting that YB was fence-sitting with the Umbrage wagon, and had no interaction at all with the PM wagon until he randomly hopped on because he found a reason he could jump with.

UNVOTE: Umbrage

Konowa chose the YB wagon over a stronger wagon that was actually on scum. He continued to push it throughout the Day. There's no way he'd do that as YB's bud.

Okay, guys, so we're in a 5 v 2 setting with the freedom to perform up to 3 mislynches before we lose.

Because of this, we merely need to come up with 4 strong townreads, and the game is ours.

We have...
Malakittens
Crazy
Konowa

and, I would like to argue, Psyche, who replaced Scigatt who did much to evince his towniness, especially that in this post:

With a votecount like this.

PLUS AN UMBRAGE VOTE FOR PMYST.

This "against the flow" vote for mafia strongly suggests that Scigatt wasn't aligned with yellowbounder.

All of this means we have a definite pool of three players who we are certain that two of which are scum. So.

vote shotgun

155 was a whole bunch of noise and very low signal.

This is weakly veiled parroting of Crazy and others with the goal of joining a winning wagon that wasn't on his scumbud.

Also, right before this switch, he posted this:

Definitely sticking with my yellowbounder vote. I will explain if people can not see why.

Again highlighting the dubiousness of his wagon hop.

Let's see why he voted YB.

In post 197, Konowa wrote:Most of the read on YB is the interaction revolving around DMS' vote, post 84, 85, and 86.  I have no problem with unexplained votes, as long as they are easily read.  Given the timing of DMS' vote of PMysterious, I can clearly see why DMS would vote that way.  It, self-admittedly, is weak point/strong gut but I do not see town mindset in YB's thought process.

RainbowDash, to me Venmar's post was high nose:low signal.  That is scummy.

Here he neatly highlights the scumminess of his jump to Venmar.

He has a
case
on YB and strongly asserts that "he does not see a town mindset in YB's thought process.

Venmar is just scummy because his post was high noise:low signal.

This was the votecount. It's strange that he left YB so frivolously when a wagon on someone he "could not see a town mindset" for was already going strong.

There's a credibility gap here, between Konowa's articulation of and proclaimed commitment to the YB and Venmar wagons that suggests that his reasons for leaving the YB wagon may be disingenuous.

Their avatars are similar, but it seems like quite a stretch that Umbrage would misidentify a person because of the vague similarity of his avatar with someone else's.

Too much weighting on associations and process of elimination, and then failure to stop this habit when it proved to be maladaptive.

Recklessness by a certain class of players is a towntell.

More attention should be paid to tiny tells than to major tells, which probably aren't major tells.

Okay, lessons learned.
