I mean, if you just want to lynch triangle now, I'm all for it. I don't much care. Even random-lynching, there's a 37.5% chance we hit scum -- and our odds are certainly WELL above that if we lynch from the pool of three I suggested.

I'm kind of hung up on this "busing is an optimal strategy" thing that other people seem to share. From a sheer numbers perspective, busing is an absolutely terrible strategy.

Suppose Players A, B, and C are scum, while D,E,F,G,H are town. The scum bus their weak link A, and nightkill player D. We're left with a pool of {B, C, E, F, G, H} from which there are two scum,
only one of which needs to be lynched
. The town has a 60% chance of winning at that point by
randomly lynching
.

Suppose the scum push for, and achieve, a mislynch on player H, and then self-nightkill A. We have {B, C, D, E, F, G} -- from which two are scum, and
BOTH
must be lynched. The town's chances are roughly
halved
.

And yes, I realize that number analysis doesn't take into account suspicions, skill levels, playstyles, etc... but still. A D1 scumlynch creates a lot more work for the scum after N1, and I'm not convinced that the "town cred" for busing is worth it. Hell, if we lynch scum D1, I just might propose completely random lynchings from here on out for a probably town-win.

I could go for a CJMiller lynch right now. 95-100 is definitely telling.
Fae seems protown enough.
Thor is probably protown.

I like where this CJ thing is going.
Vote: CJMiller

Something about the busing comment doesn't sit well with me. I can't help but feel like it's designed to set up a mislynch (that he's on) to play "against" his self-professed meta. I also still can't understand why anybody would be like "I know I'd bus as scum in this setup!" because not only is it a suboptimal strategy, but even making that comment hurts you if you're town, whether you're pushing in the right direction or not.

In post 199, Toro wrote:How do you see that as scummy? I want a proper case on myself from both Delta and Glork, I'm intrigued on what is setting their scumdars off on me. Skirting around my request to ask a request and expecting an answer doesn't work in my book.
Do you mean gorckat? Because I'm pretty sure I haven't, at any point, called you scum.

In post 209, DeltaWave wrote:I'm leaning scum on Glork because of his take on the CJ wagon actually. He pushed the Batman/Gorck/Triangle group for a while then switched to CJ for some reason. I don't like it.

In retrospect, I don't like it either. I was swayed by the sudden badness of CJMiller's posts, and failed to stick to my guns. Anyway, yeah I kind of want to go back to what I had said originally about Traingle/Gorckat/Batman (now FaerieLord).

DW has been kind of all over the place, and in this particular instance, I think that's actually a protown tell.
Thor is still probably town.

So our two scum are among {Toro, Gorck, Fae}. And right now I'm leaning Gorck/Fae.

Some notes, looking through her ISO:
1) She calls Toro "one of her strongest town reads."
2) She votes gorckat, says she still thinks he's scum but wagons Stealth with him, then later on goes back to gorck in her last post in the game.
3) She states that she thinks busing is an optimal strategy
4) Her only mention of Batman/Fae is a "null read" when directly asked by Thor.

I think I'd be comfortable lynching Gorck at this point. Won't throw down a vote yet due to possible quickvotes, but yeah. That's proooobably where I'm headed.

What sort of question is that?
It sounds like you're trying to be too careful in looking for a consensus. You have to lynch two scums, and if you really think gorck is scum, you should be voting him, not going "GUISE, IS IT OKAY IF I VOTEZ HIM?"

If "everyone" agreed to lynch gorck, we wouldn't need your vote regardless.

The whole line of inquiry is pointless and reeks of trying to look protown.

In fact, fuck it. I'll go with Thor on this one.

What makes you think Toro's prod entered into my thinking at all?

I called it as Fairie/Toro because I already suspected Toro and it looked like Fairie was building up an excuse to vote you.

How long until the deadline?

Excuse? Did you read my first post in this game? I called a Gorck / Tri / CJMiller team, and have made no indication of a change in policy. I had even reiterated (I think) that the Tri / Gorck thing still stands. I didn't need an exuse.

@Thor: I'll vote tomorrow probably, still don't see any advantage over voting early. However, considering this is a speed game,
Mod should prod Gorck and Glork

Again, if you're THAT rooted in your scumgroup, why are you waiting for PERMISSION to vote them? Fucking vote who you think is scum, and stop trying to act like the GOOD GUY here.

The good thing is, even without Toro, if the other three of us (me, DW, Thor) are convinced it's Fae/gorck, we'll still win due to how deadline lynch rules work.

Gorck certainly isn't convincing ME that Delta is scum, so I'm not sure why he's trying to argue with DW here. *shrug*

But, like... Idk, I guess I feel line he's digging his own grave by holding out. One thing about LyLo, especially with an even number of players, is that scum tend to hold out on throwing down a vote more/longer than town. Both gorck and Fae have done this. Fae's context, especially his reactions to my "why aren't you just voting" is particularly telling, and gorck is pretty much going himself away by acting like he's sure of DW and not DW's partner, despite stating pretty clearly that he felt it was DW/Fae earlier. A protown player would have jumped Fae and tried to get his other scum suspect lynched later, but gorck really doesn't want to just give in and throw Fae under, which is only sealing his fate come tomorrow.

I already explained D1 how your triangle interaction made you two likely scumbuddies, and I literally just explained last page how your Fae interactions made you two likely scumbuddies.

And instead of responding to anything I've said against you, all you can come up with is "humor me"?

Also, if by some act of Satan gorck is town, Toro has to be the following lynch. A 3p endgame with only two players isn't really possible. Toro's team would basically automatically lose. But if it's one of {Glork, DW, Thor} then we at least have a legitimate shot of determining a real winner.

P-edit: I did, scumbag.

Uh.... I thought it was LyLo D2... And I was definitely okay with the CJhammah. Nooooot really. Seeing what your point is or how that makes DW more likely to be scum.

Were you okay with the hammer as a policy lynch type deal? Because I certainly wouldn't be if I thought that could put us into LyLo.

Just hammer, Glrok. Trust me on this one.

Nope. I want my way first.

Consider my V/LA extended indefinitely. If I get to the point where I can't play / keep up, I'll request a replacement as soon as possible.

CES, let me be stubborn please? I'd try to pull the Team Mafia trump card, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't listen anyway.

I would also cut a deal to lynch DW next if I'm wrong, but idk if you're interested in that either.

I just really think its gorckat.

Yeah, Haylen/DW. Kind of a role reversal here, but I don't think DW is scum here, and after TM and the last day of Maiden, I'm really tired of settling for other lynches that turn out to be wrong.

I've already explained and re-hashed how gorck-Triangle were connected.

AND AND AND AND as an added one time bonus, I'll even tocin upon how gorck is just independently scummy, outside of his connections to both known scum.

I still have a scum read on Gorc, but I think I'm going to UNVOTE: , VOTE: Stealth.

In post 59, gorckat wrote:Well if the goddamn Batman is flaking, too, lets lean on Stealth until someone comes back to that slot.

vote: Stealth

That's a pretty strong connection between the two. Tandem-wagoning a lurker while Traingle calls gorc scummy? Yeahhhh...

In post 73, Glork wrote:It's a classic tell that when Player A calls Player B scum while choosing to place his vote with Player B's suspicions, there's a likely connection between the two. *shrug*

Okay. So here, we have classic tandem-tell. This is a VERY strong link between Triangle/Gorck in and of itself, but when you add to the fact that they both jumped onto Stealth
to protect Batman/Fae
while triangle says "yeah I'd totally bus as scum," the tell is strengthened exponentially. I cannot emphasize enough how big and red this flag is. It's... really, really bad. There's so much cognitive dissonance here it's not even funny. And the end result is Triangle and gorck working together while appearing to be distant from one another.

Day Two, the distancing begins... now that they've managed to avoid a white flag situation, the remaining scum can afford to play it distant.
Fae said he'd be willing to vote gorck "if everyone agrees." Fae wanted it to look like he suspected gorck, but he was unwillng to seal gorck's fate by
just voting gorck outrihgt
. If FaeScum were talking about gorckTown, he'd have just jumped the wagon, because there was plenty of legitimate reason to do so. Nobody would have blinked an eye, probably.

BUT NOPE. Fae kept saying he'd be willing to vote gorck, but never put his money where his mouth was. Why on earth would FaeScum possibly do that? OH RIGHT. BECAUSE GORCKAT WAS HIS SCUMBUDDY AND HE DIDN'T WANT TO THROW HIM UNDER THE BUS YET. Save the bus for D3 when it looks more important/significant, and you'll get credit deeper into endgame.

So RIGHT AFTER FAE DISTANCED in , gorck fires back with this fine and dandy little post:
In post 224, gorckat wrote:Delta/Fairie.

Hmmm.

Hmmm.

HMMMMMMMMMM.

His explanation later was that it was a "reaction to DW saying Fae/Toro," which doesn't really explain anything. If he just wanted Delta dead, why not just say he wanted Delta dead? Why name-drop Fae at all?

I mean, given deadline rules, it doesn't matter unless Thor decides to vote for you, because a lynch has to occur each day.

I'm just impatient so I want to permanently strike checking-this-game off my list of things to do.

Honestly, your best play probably would have been to uberbus someone and then just kill me. I know that sounds really, really cocky, but if two of you completely threw the third person under the bus, you could have taken that to endgame.
