username i know its a little late but id like to offer another explanation for you re scumkanye would have hammered tony: lack of confidence towards your team clinching things due to them saying in the qt they arent good at scum. fortunately metabot turned out to be much better at it than he gave himself credit for. i got to compliment his d2, he looked pretty fuckin town to me even knowing he was scum. also shoutouts to my boy vijay for takin that d1 quickhammer bullet!

Its definitely worth playing again. If someone is running it again, I'm going to join that game.

As for constructive criticism, I'm really not qualified to say something like that. Its not swingy, but scum does get a pretty bad disadvantage from getting one lynched d1... if there's association tells with EITHER, then its gg.

Anyway, I think its only a problem if theres more than one scum that is pretty bad. If there's one really bad scum, then it could be a problem too, becuase having that one guy die d1 and give tells on the other two would suck. Scum should really try hard to kill a towny d1. However, with the effective minority vote on town being a lynch (because scum can quicklynch) it works out in the end.

Maybe have some sort of mechanism to make it easier for scum to get town lynched, at the cost of making them look scummy. That way, scum would usually be able to avoid being forced into white-flag zone, but how much they want to reduce that risk is balanced by the mechanism making them look scummy.

Props to the scum team. I was pretty sure kanye was scum after he started pushing my wagon so weirdly, but I had no idea how to call him out without incriminating myself. Metabot, on the other hand, I never once suspected.

And Katsuki, for your information, two games' worth of experience with a player is not a very reliable basis for meta analysis at the best of times, but when one of those games I replaced out of early day 1, and the other was ruined mid-day 1, you really shouldn't assume you know how I play as town.

setup was fine, i like the pace of it.

i was pretty sure youd figure out i was scum about then korts but didnt mind for the reason you cited. ideally, i think, matebot could have convincingly switched to you as well and then we would have been able to quickhammer kats d3 (i really really wanted to do this~)

I suppose, though I wasn't quite going off meta. From your posts in those two games, I got the sense that you were a strong player (plus your reputation around the site). I couldn't find myself to believe that you truly believed half (if not most) of the things you were saying. Main thing though was that your posts very genuine and contained strong scumhunting in those two games, while I didn't get that from you here.

Eh, I guess you're right in that regard, insofar as you're talking about my D1 play this game. I got really enthusiastic when I saw something to latch onto from Tony, and then that didn't really spark discussion like I'd hoped, so I latched on with the same enthusiasm when you made the daytalk argument. Neither was a genuinely scummy thing, I just wanted a conflict to emerge and people to take sides.
