So how were the scum picking their NKs? N1 was actually the turning point when you left Acryon alive and killed Boo, the cop. It seemed odd to me because yall kept killing my suspects. :o

N1 was all C+A and Dino wanting to leave Acryon alive for WIFOM and we picking Boo because of the many townreads, a possible role according to C+A and me crumbing with her in mind so I could use that as to why I would not have killed her.

N2 was Dino and I role hunting Aneninen.

N3 was the purpose of the gambit, Dino in particular was scared to play a Lylo with TTH so they wanted her protection from Acryon removed ;-)

N4 C+A killed Esusios because he thought he had you pocketed and Mastin could use the fact Esusios was townreading the slot as for why she would not kill him.

I think it was when you asked about who Acryon protected?

I told you in the dead thread, when you said you liked the idea of the other docs outing to confirm Acryon, that was a trap so you would know for sure that one between the player outing and Acryon was scum (and you would not lose anything yourself), you asked Acryon for his saves and you paid too much attention to me FoSin Acryon D2.

@TTH
Your blind spot was you didn't know how scary (or fun deepending on what gives you kicks ;-)) it is to play against you as scum and to what lenght we went to remove you from the game one day early, that's why I said you should be more confident, in the dead thread.

Oh, yes. Yes, I was, entirely lacking in subtlety. To be fair, though, I didn't really need it. :P Most of the work this game was done already by my scummates before I came in; all I did was help finish the job. House and copper should get the credit for the win. I really didn't need to do anything but halfheartedly post and wait for a town player to stick a vote on town in a position where House could also vote.

It should be noted, my
actual
thoughts during lylo were that DGB was obvtown, textcat was obvtown, and C/A was obvscum, but me being scum, I wasn't exactly going to declare as much. Because, yaknow,

I dunno about you, but for me, you'd have to be really, really insane to do anything but the latter.
Remember this? Well, this was me being a cheeky scumbag. It's actually true: I view defending your scumbuddy and creating a very dangerous 2v2 to be insanity.
However
, insanity in my scumgames is kinda just what I do. :P

scum played very well, but I also don't think the ludicrous amount of replacements helped town. Any player who was here from the beginning all the way through to the end had a distinct advantage. And as a late replacement, there was no way I was going to get through all 100ish pages with the level of thoroughness and critical thinking that a mafia game deserves (which is why, to be perfectly honest, I replaced in hoping to be scum...)

oh well. gg wp scum

Im annoyed at myself.

I had copper as scum in the gambit based on his actual play and switched based on occam. I had mastin at lylo as my strongest read and went dgb.

Sorry guys. Well played copper.

I had difficulties in this game as usually as town or scum im town read and that didnt happen this game as scum picked me as a lynch target. Learned a lot. Should stick to my gut and quit over thinking games.

And this is what I am curious about. In more than just this game I've had people vote based on occam and it just hasn't turned out. I just think the nature of mafia doesn't lend itself to useful occam application. Still interested in knowing others' thoughts.

Well played GGG, my heart sank a little when you made that great point about over pressing ;-). That meta read though I genuinely believe was incorrect.

Thanks Mastin for finishing the job!

You did come close to realizing the the mafia would take advantage of me!

And of course I went after acryon.

Eh, a lot of people don't play scum at the level where Occam's Razor
should
be thrown out the window, i.e. doing things because "WHY WOULD SCUM EVER DO THAT?" So Occam's Razor is a way to weed out all the mental gymnastics and go with what makes the most amount of sense.

If you've ever seen a cc situation where the scum is just making the craziest assertions to get out of being caught in the 1v1, you've seen a situation where people
should
be using it.
