It's definitely swingy. Having a vig instead of one of the investigative roles would probably make a huge difference.

I think recruiting the traitor and one scum PR is probably the safest route to go, but it all depends on the roles town gets and the players.

I'm curious why mafia chose so many things. Seems like the general consensus was that other than recruiting the traitor, the others weren't worth the risk and all the extra power roles. Role cop, in particular, seems like a waste. It's only worth it if you think you're going to investigate (and then be able to kill) more than the one extra person you're giving a power role to.

Town already gets two, so I can see it being sort of worth it - especially if Innocent Child isn't one of the Town Roles. I can't say I'd take it, but I can see the allure.

Remember too that vig is frequently negative utility for town. Just bad luck for scum that we didn't draw it.
