I think it would have been better if the Mod had told us that you indeed got a PM with my Role. At Night2 Ranger may have protected you or me (the two conf-towns at that point) or someone else randomly. You'd already used your PR by Day2 and I wouldn't have had too many chance for doing the same, I was Night5 Doc. So, we'd have ended up with 1 or 2 useless-PR conf-towns by Day3 and the game would have been still open.
Although I don't think we'd have caught that scumteam...

Had to be a force replace, otherwise you two are confirmed which is pretty unbalanced in this setup.

I will say technically the mod didn't lie. You asked if cops were being given roles and alignment and from the sound of it the mod realized that was bad after shotty pointed it out and decided not to. So everyone after that would have gotten just alignment.

Still not the correct way to go about what happened but it technically wasn't a lie because the right question wasn't asked.

Just playing devil's advocate really though. I'm sorry to everyone who was playing who ended up not having fun due to this.

When Grey replaced in I didn't realize he was scum at first, so it started off genuine on my part. When I realized it I offered an olive branch, but he doubled down on the fight for some reason.

You don't understand, the mod told me that he was telling people both. He said the wiki wasn't specific so he is going to tell both. That is why I claimed both. I figured the mod would corroborate my story since it is what he had told me. When he lied, I went into fuck it mode and made a big deal about it.
