Rules

What you must know
  • All general sitewide rules apply, you can read them here.
  • No flaming, harassing or anything like that.
  • Do not quote mod communications. Paraphrasing is allowed.
  • Don't discuss this game elsewhere than where I say unless I declare this is over.
  • Don't use encrypted or small/invisible texts.
  • Don't pretend to break the rules either.
  • Grey (#444444)
is my color, refrain from using this.

Voting and Deadlines

Day
  • Days will last 2 real life weeks (14 days). Unless I change the deadline.
  • During the day, you may vote someone to lynch.
Spoiler:
VOTE: PlayerName

Code: Select all

[vote]PlayerName[/vote]

or
vote: PlayerName

Code: Select all

vote: PlayerName
  • You may also vote to end the day without a lynch (nolynch).
  • The majority occurs when more than half the players votes someone (or nolynch).
  • Once the player is lynched, he can still post in twilight. However, not after I flip them.
  • If the deadline ends before a majority occurs, a nolynch will happen.
Night
  • Days will last 2 real life weeks (14 days). Unless I change the deadline.
  • If you have any active ability, you may PM me who you'll target or post in the Scum PT (if you're one).
  • If you don't PM one within deadline, the default will be target no one.

Activity and Prods
  • If you haven't posted in the thread after 48 hours, you'll receive a prod.
  • If you still haven't posted after 24 hours, I'll search for your replacement.
  • If you're prodded three times, I'll force-replace you.
  • If you can't/is limited to post, you may announce V/LA. They must be made public.
  • The more active you are, the most fun you'll have.

Cop can only detect mafia, seer can only detect werewolves.

Doctor can only protect someone from mafia kills, guardian can only protect someone from werewolf kills.

1-shot bulletproof will survive only one mafia kill, 1-shot elder will survive only one werewolf kill.

Trackers can't see a werewolf performing a kill, stalkers can't see a mafia performing a kill. They would get "Your target went nowhere."

Same applies for jailkeeper and wizard. Except they can still protect them from being killed.

If both jailkeeper/wizard attempt to jail each other, their action will fail. Same applies for the roleblockers. However, if it's a roleblocker vs jailkeeper/wizard, the roleblocker will block jailkeeper's/wizard's action.

Impeccable reasoning Blackstar. I'll sheep that hard.
VOTE: umlaut
Heads up I don't scumhunt because it's stupid and leads to basically random lynches. I'm warming to town read into PoE but that could be a symptom of positivity bias that suggests because when I town read someone I am statistically likely to be right, I end up believing my townreads are accurate.
I'd put some philosophical bollocks here but I cannot be bothered.

It's fine. Townhunting's an equally valid method as scumhunting and may bring even more spectacular results if done right. Especially in this setup. Don't feel forced to act according to meta if your method works for you.

History suggests I'll be trying to get him lynched at some point today so I might as well get it over with.

Double scum team so it's probably more effective to build a town block then extrapolate from there than try and hunt down both scumteams with no townreads.

Seeks to pocket me by supporting the part about town reads while ignoring the part that disputes the validity of town reads.
Or is just town trying to be supportive.
See how difficult it is being reasonable people? Eh fuck it I'll vote you anyway just to be safe.

I took your #8 as a sign of being insecure (maybe somebody gave you shit for the way you play before) so I just wanted to back you up to make you focus on the game instead of wondering whether you're playing "the right way". I don't see how I could "pocket" you by that. Are you prone to buddying?
Also, what did you mean by voting me "just to be safe"?

Wow, a lot more activity has occurred right out the gate than I was expecting in comparison to my previous game. Any who, usually the day starts out with RVP and just getting feelers for people in general, so It'll be more interesting once everyone has confirmed.

So basically your goal is to just locate townies, and by process of elimination locate the mafia/werewolves? Why not just do both (Scumhunt and Friendhunt)? In a game like this, one needs to do both in order to be successful to me. At least that how I go about it. To just locate townies (without considering the scum motivations) seems like an excuse in order to avoid certain conversations.
