Rules
All general rules apply so do please read on them. Here's the most important ones.

1. Never talk about ongoing games. Ongoing games are easily ruined by other ongoing games and I don't want that happening. Offending this rule does allow me to replace you after the 2nd offense.

2. Never Private Message other players in the game you're in. You can PM the Mod, but you can't PM the players. I will mod-kill you if it contains information on the game.

3. The golden rule is to have fun and hope for others to do the same. Please don't be a jerk to others as it ruins their experience.

4. Please play toward your Win Condition. Playing against it is game throwing (unless it is part of a strategy) and will lead to powers beyond my own. Don't go there.

5. If you have the power to edit your post, don't use those powers as it is against the rules. I don't want to read a post just to find it edited an hour later. The first time is a Public Warning and the second time is a force-replace or Modkill depending on the situation.

6.
This is my color. Don't ever use it as your own

7. Don't ever quote from anything that is private, or you will be modkilled, turned into a Survivor, and lose the game. Anything beyond that is far from my control. In short, don't do it.

8. If I can't read your posts, it is invalid. Please make it readable. Speaking in a foreign language is fine, because Google Translate is a thing.

9. Never involve outside influences. These include alliances, marriage, threats, and promises.

How voting works


10. There are a few ways to vote. You put down Vote: PMysterious in bold or a special vote tag that's in this forum. Ex.

13. In order to lynch someone you have to get majority on that player before time is up. Ex. If there are

15. When time is up, I will look at the final vote count. Whoever has the most votes at the end of the day will be lynched. If there is a tie, then whoever was at that number first will be lynched (which seems to be the standard now).

16. If the lynch occurs at any point during the day, the Day Phase is over and no other posts may be made when the vote count is published.

Posting Guidelines


17. If you do not post within 48 hours, you will be prodded.

18. After you receive a prod, you have 24 hours to post or risk being replaced.

19. If you get 3 prods in a single game day or 5 throughout the game, you will be replaced for inactivity.

20. The day phase is going to last for 10 days from the time it was announced.

21. The Night Phase is 3 days long. Never post in the Night. I might not lock the thread.

Notes
I have not modded in a while, so I will make mistakes. If I do so, let me know and I will fix it ASAP. Updates will not contain any in-game information so good luck with that. Vote counts I hope will come once a day. If not, you can ask for a vote count.

Day start

Modifications

During pre-game, mafia have 72 hours to select which (if any) of the modifications they want to their team. A maximum of three modifications may be selected.

Bulletproof

Role Cop

JOAT (1 shot Strongman, 1 shot Ninja)

Daytalk (passive ability)

Recruit Traitor as Mafia Goon

For each modification that is selected by the mafia, town gains an additional role as well. The town has two roles to start, resulting in a maximum of five town roles randomly selected from the following:

Goon Cop

Roleblocker

Tracker

Bodyguard

Vigilante

Innocent Child (reveal at start of day one)

The following things are noted for Mods, but as this is an Open Setup, I might as well point them out to the public as well.


At the beginning of the game all town aligned players receive a "Vanilla Town" role. Once mafia has selected their abilities all town roles go out. This prevents claims of "received roles before/after mafia modifications".

No player may receive more than one role/modification

The mafia traitor may not receive any abilities if not recruited as well.

Starting Role PMs


All of the following roles are distributed at random. No other roles should be passed out until after the modifications have taken place.
Mafia Goon

Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia Role Cop

Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia Bulletproof

Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia JOAT (One Shot Ninja, One Shot Strongman)

Recruit the Mafia Traitor as a Mafia Goon

Enable passive daytalk

Win condition:

You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.
Mafia Traitor

Our story begins in a little village, with little storefronts, a small bank, a police department (which no one is a part of), and even a nice cafe. The villagers were happy with their lives up to this point, as they live in peace and harmony. However, little do they know, that trouble will soon come and try and take their peace and harmony away.

Role PMs have been sent out, so confirm as soon as you can.


Once we hit 11/13 players confirmed AND the Mafia make their decision on what powers they will want to use, AND the affected players confirm their role after that, then the game will get started.

One day (which is this game day), the mayor of the town was supposed to give his speech. However, he never showed up to where the speech was to take place. This causes the town people to search for his whereabouts. They searched the unused police department, the town hall, and even the cafe.

Suddenly, there was a scream. The townspeople eventually come to the conclusion that the scream came from the alleyway. They all run into the alley, and a little kid was there, screaming "THE MAYOR IS DEAD! THE MAYOR IS DEAD!"

The mayor had a bullet in his head, with blood pouring down onto the pavement. They ask the kid about what happened, and all he remembers, are that men in black were the ones that shot him, last night. It didn't take long for people to realize (for a change), that the mafia were in town.

Hehe, good luck with that ;) You're going need a long con plan to get me back for that one. Also the last run of this set-up I actually called out the entire scum team rather early but other townies either did something that caught my eye more or I second guessed myself in the reads. So this time around, when I start pegging people, they're going to be ran up the damn wall fully this time. No backing off hard reads this run.

Also this time around if I were mafia, I could just nightkill people rather than pull a "Hey, we got them cornered guys, so they had to put 3 townies up on the block" Hehehe, that was a risky move on my part, but so worth it.

Anyway, I gotta prepare for class. This time around I won't be as talkative as before (maybe) because of classes ongoing. But I feel bad for scum this game, I notice a lot of new faces to this duo. If Alchemist is town this game, you fucked mafia, you completely fucked. :lol:

Now for the question. I recently got a question from someone regarding how the Role PMs were passed out. Here's what I did for the sake of this game. I handed out the basic roles first, which are Vanilla, Goon, and Traitor to everyone. After the Mafia put in their powers, I took the power roles, chose which ones would be in the game, and handed them out to Vanilla Townies, all at random. If you got an updated Role PM, then you are what that Role PM says. If you did not receive an updated Role PM, then that is the official role PM that you have. (Example, if you are a Vanilla Townie and you did not get an Updated Role PM, then you are still a Vanilla Townie.)

If there is any confusion, I am going to leave a link to the official MS Wiki page where it goes into more detail, maybe (also, ignore the fact that this is a 13 player version of the game).

Also the last run of this set-up I actually called out the entire scum team rather early but other townies either did something that caught my eye more or I second guessed myself in the reads. So this time around, when I start pegging people, they're going to be ran up the damn wall fully this time. No backing off hard reads this run.

Also this time around if I were mafia, I could just nightkill people rather than pull a "Hey, we got them cornered guys, so they had to put 3 townies up on the block" Hehehe, that was a risky move on my part, but so worth it.

Anyway, I gotta prepare for class. This time around I won't be as talkative as before (maybe) because of classes ongoing. But I feel bad for scum this game, I notice a lot of new faces to this duo. If Alchemist is town this game, you fucked mafia, you completely fucked. :lol:
